Local media ripped for ‘sleazy’ report on Ted Cruz’s 13-year-old daughter

Some of the same left-wing media outlets and blue checkmarks that wouldn’t dare use President Joe Biden’s 51-year-old son to attack him are now relishing in using Sen. Ted Cruz’s 13-year-old daughter to attack the Republican lawmaker.

It turns out that as a 13-year-old child, the senator’s daughter disagrees with her 51-year-old father’s Republican views. She reportedly recently revealed as much on her TikTok account.

This is by no means shocking. The University of Chicago Booth School of Business’s “Chicago Booth Review” magazine notes that “younger people are disproportionately liberal, and then drift steadily to the right, becoming just as disproportionately conservative by retirement age.”

Yet, after Cruz’s daughter announced her typical liberal views on TikTok, some elements of the media in addition to some blue checkmarks, went into overdrive to report it to the entire world, courtesy of the Dallas Observer, an alternative news site.

“In a recent video posted to TikTok, Cruz’s teenage daughter … tells her followers about the pros and cons of being a senator’s kid. … ‘A lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance,’ [she] said, ‘but I really disagree with most of his views.’ Dang. That diss probably stung Cruz more than the time [she] dodged his embrace on the campaign trail,” a piece by the Observer reads.

The amateurish piece was quickly picked up by The Dallas Morning News, an establishment media outlet, and from there it blew up. As of Saturday morning, it’d been picked up by Raw Story, LGBTQ Nation, Salon, Bipartisan Report, Alternet and Distractify.

Though the story originated with the Dallas Observer, ire from critics is being directed at The Dallas Morning News because of its establishment credentials.

Look:

Notice the frequent mention of Biden’s youngest son, Hunter. As has been thoroughly documented by conservative media organizations, he has a history of smoking crack, consorting with hookers and engaging in extremely shady business transactions.

Moreover, his shady business transactions have been linked to his father. The guy is, for all intents and purposes, a suspected crook, and many feel that from the sounds of it, his father — the current president of the United States — may be one as well.

Yet the establishment left, including the media, have jumped through hoops to hide the details of his life and prevent them from affecting his father’s image. Most notably, the media worked hand in hand with big tech last year to censor reporting on Hunter’s infamous laptop.

Meanwhile, the Biden FBI is currently jumping through hoops to hide the infamous diary of the president’s youngest daughter, Ashley. Incidentally (or not so incidentally), the diary allegedly contains some damning accusations about her father.

But not a single establishment media outlet has covered the contents of the diary. Instead, they’ve directed all their focus on the conservative media organization, Project Veritas, that was responsible for outing said content.

By that standard, shouldn’t there also be reports from CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post slamming the Dallas Observer and The Dallas Morning News for outing the TikTok content of Cruz’s daughter?
