Log Cabin Republicans blast Biden for ‘demonizing’ DeSantis, parental rights law

LGBT Republicans have issued a statement condemning President Joe Biden’s efforts to “demonize” what they see as Florida’s “common sense” parental rights law during the signing of a sweeping executive order aimed at helping schools and other agencies to circumvent state “ultra-MAGA” laws that protect school children from radical, woke teachers and their ideology.

While the group Log Cabin Republicans called some of the president’s executive orders “long overdue,” they took exception to Biden’s assault on states’ rights.

“It’s unfortunate that President Biden again used a podium at the White House this afternoon to mislead on and demonize the common sense parental rights law in Florida and other similar bills across the country that protect young children from woke lesson plans around gender and sexual identity,” the statement reads, according to the Washington Examiner.

“While some of the executive orders he announced today are long overdue, LGBT conservatives will not support the federal government trampling over the rights of states to stop Leftist activists from infusing more woke identity politics into kindergarten classrooms,” Log Cabin continued.

The President’s tone during the signing ceremony was decidedly inflammatory, as American Wire reported.

“Three hundred discriminatory bills introduced in states across the country … In Texas, knocking on front doors to harass and investigate parents who are raising transgender children,” the president said. “In Florida, going after Mickey Mouse for God’s sake.”

“We are in a battle for the very soul of this nation,” he declared. “And that’s not hyperbole.”

At the signing, noted the Examiner, 18-year-old Florida activist Javier Gomez — the organizer of protests against Florida’s bill –credited his openly gay 5th-grade teacher who helped him to “come out.”

“I fear other students in Florida and across the country will not be able to get the same support because of hateful legislation like the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill,” Gomez said. “But my presence here is a testament that we are fighting back.”

That was the statement that prompted Log Cabin Republicans President Charles Moran to speak up.

“They’re waxing on Ron DeSantis and the Florida parental rights bill, which they continue to misname,” he said. “It was somewhat comical that the high schooler they brought up there, who talked about his being in school in Florida and organizing those walkouts, that student isn’t even affected by the legislation.”

The Parental Rights Law only prevents the discussion of sexual identity and gender fluidity with students in K-3rd grade, and even then, the law only covers conversations in the classroom, not private conversations between students and teachers.

“There’s a difference between conversations and curriculum,” Moran said. “Conversations are not prohibited.”

“The LGBT community has more freedom and opportunity now than at any time in American history,” the Log Cabin leader said. “The Democratic Party likes to put people in their boxes and remind them why they need to be victims because that keeps them united around that victimization. We’ve moved beyond that as an LGBT community. … It’s desperation, and they keep going back to it because they know they are losing.”

And The Log Cabin Republicans aren’t the only ones wishing liberals would concern themselves with other issues.

In a recent now-viral video shared by Five Times August, one drag queen warned parents that, regardless of what woke politicians may tell you, drag shows are no place for kids.

“What in the hell has a drag queen ever done to make you have so much respect for them and admire them so much, other than put on makeup and jump on the floor and writhe around and do sexual things on stage?” the outspoken queen asked. “I have absolutely no idea why you would want that to influence your child. Would you want a stripper or a porn star to influence your child? It makes no sense at all.”

“A drag queen performs in a nightclub for adults,” the entertainer continued. “There is a lot of filth that goes on.”

Not only does this drag queen say children shouldn’t be present, but exposing them to such shows only hurts the LGBTQ community.

“To actually get [kids] involved in drag is extremely, extremely irresponsible on your part,” the queen said. “And I understand you might want to look like you’re ‘with it,’ that you’re cool, that you’re woke. That you’re not a Nazi, you’re not a homophobe. Whatever. Whatever it may be… [but] honestly, you’re not doing the gay community any favors. In fact, you’re hurting us, ok?”

“We have already had a reputation of being pedophiles and being perverts and deviants,” the fearless performer continued. “We don’t need you to bring your children around. So you keep your kids at home.”
