‘Love is in the air’: Tiger Woods confirms rumors of romantic relationship with Trump family member

Rumors were confirmed when a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient revealed “love is in the air” with a member of President Donald Trump’s family.

Months after Donald Trump Jr. split from his longtime fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle and began making public appearances with socialite Bettina Anderson, his ex-wife had relationship news of her own. For Vanessa Trump, 47, the news came courtesy of new beau, pro-golfer Tiger Woods, 49, who shared images of the pair while asking for “privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

Smiling for the camera in one picture while cozying up for a candid shot in a hammock in the other, Woods’s social media accounts read Sunday, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

Confirmation of their courtship came following earlier reports from the Daily Mail that detailed, per four sources, how the couple were said to have been in a relationship since Thanksgiving. That report detailed that Woods’ children and Vanessa’s eldest daughter of five children, Kai, attended the same private school where tuition was nearly $40,000 per year.

As the president’s granddaughter announced in Aug. 2024 that she had committed to play collegiate-level golf for the University of Miami after graduating, both she and her mother were seen in pictures arriving with Woods to the final round of the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational on Feb. 16, 2025, at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California.

“So happy for you both,” came the public comment from Vanessa’s former sister-in-law Ivanka Trump as rapper Snoop Dogg, who has taken heat having performed at one of Trump’s pre-inaugural events ahead of the president’s second inauguration, encouraged Woods to look at his private messages, “Check ya d m…”

The pro-golfer’s announcement comes about a month after Trump honored Woods and others at the White House for Black History Month. In 2019, Trump awarded Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the pair took to the golf course for a round at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida in February.

Woods’ own ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, who had split from the athlete after his sex scandal in 2010, was said to be “amused” by the pairing by a source who told the Mail, “Tiger and Elin are supportive of each other.”

“Her response at first was like ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’ She was more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it,” claimed the source. “They’re not the type to give each other their ‘blessing’ per se, but they keep each other in the loop with anyone who is going to spend any amount of time around the kids.”

As for Donald Trump Jr., a source told People he was “cool” with the new couple.
