President Biden turned the Democrat’s gaslighting of the American people up to eleven on Sunday, claiming unironically that people “go online” for news and have “no notion whether it’s true or not.”
The comment came as a response to a question from ProPublica’s John Harwood, who asked the president if Elon Musk and X are responsible for “lowering guardrails against misinformation.”

Objectively speaking, it is no wonder that Biden would want to tie Elon Musk to “misinformation.”
Under Musk’s direction, X gave to previously deplatformed critics of the Biden administration, authoritarian overreach, and Big Pharma’s big lies a welcomed home.
Following his parting with Fox News, Tucker Carlson didn’t miss a beat thanks to X. His hard-hitting interviews and uninhibited digs at Biden and those who support him consistently receive tens of millions of views.
And on Friday, Musk put on his own citizen journalist cap and headed to Eagle Pass, Texas, where he livestreamed his firsthand look at America’s border crisis.

What was shocking was Biden’s suggestion that X fosters “misinformation,” when it was on that very platform, not long after Musk took over, that the “Twitter Files” exposed just how far Democrats were willing to go to censor the truth and spread its own misinformation.

Of all the currently available news sources, the mainstream American media has, in recent years, arguably been the most prolific spreader of misinformation in today’s society.
From COVID hysteria and the Russia hoax to the rights of parents in their children’s education and the imminent threat to our Democracy posed by “MAGA extremists,” the media has eagerly regurgitated White House talking points meant to further a Progressive agenda.

Even Biden’s choice of ProPublica for a chatty sit-down speaks volumes.
ProPublica is, according to its website, “an independent, nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism with moral force.”
A quick dig into the organization’s history and biggest donors reveals the sources of that “moral force.”
“The Sandler Foundation provided initial funding for ProPublica, and Foundation founder Herb Sandler was ProPublica’s founding chairman of the Board of Directors until 2016,” according to Influence Watch. “The Foundation is involved with a number of left-of-center organizations; it helped found the Center for American Progress, and it has provided support for the Sierra Club and the American Civil Liberties Union.”
Influence Watch continues:
Other large donations came from left-leaning sources: investor Donald Sussman, who donated $25 million to support Democrats in the 2018 election cycle, donated $480,100; George Soros’ Foundation to Promote Open Society donated $200,000; and the left-wing advocacy group Solidarity Giving gave $150,000.
According to their 2021 990 tax info, its largest donation, $3 million, came from the Crankstart Foundation, the family foundation of Sequoia Capital partner Michael Moritz. Another $2 million donation came from Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, through her investment firm Emerson Collective. In addition, ProPublica received $175,903 from grantmaking network Foundation to Promote Open Society, founded by philanthropist George Soros.
“Total gaslighting,” one X user said of Biden’s remarks. “If it weren’t for Elon, half of the stuff we know about today, would still be called… fake.”
“This is exactly why ‘investigations’ into Elon keep popping up,” stated Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg. “They no longer have control…”
“They literally tried to invent a committee for the ‘ministry of truth,'” a third person reminded X users. “People forget.”

JUST IN: Biden appears to not be happy with Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter because now people have “no notion” of what information is true.
What he meant to say is how upset he is that the government can no longer control what you see on X.

Yet another X user recalled with video receipts Joe Biden’s three decades of “misinformation.”
“Has he forgotten the multitude of lies he has fed the nation over the past 30 years?” the user asked. “From concealing his son’s business dealings in Ukraine to manipulating job data, from distorting inflation figures to downplaying the national debt.”
“Does he have any sense of shame left when he points fingers at Musk for spreading misinformation?” the user demanded to know. “If not, send this video to Biden.”
