In what could be a potential 2024 presidential matchup in some far-fetched scenario, former Vice President Mike Pence took on his successor, Vice President Kamala Harris, over the issue of killing unborn babies.
Pence, a devout Christian and staunch anti-abortion proponent, spoke Thursday night at the annual gala for Carolina Pregnancy Center in Spartanburg, S.C., according to the Daily Mail, and targeted Harris over her remarks earlier this week in support of abortion, with the Democratic vice president attacking the opposition party over a report that the Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade.
An unprecedented leak of an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito showed the high court has voted to strike down the landmark decision. Alito said, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overrule. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
The former vice president cited the estimated number of abortions — the National Right to Life Committee, the nation’s oldest pro-life organization, estimates that 63,459,781 abortions have taken place since Roe passed in 1973 — to blast Harris.
“I say with the lives of 62 million unborn boys and girls ended in abortion since 1973, generations of mothers enduring heartbreaking and loss that can last a lifetime: Madame Vice President, how dare you?” Pence told anti-abortion activists gathered at the annual gala

Harris spoke at the Washington gala for EMILY’s List on Tuesday and was indignant over the possibility that Roe could be in jeopardy.
“Women in almost half the country could see their access to abortion severely limited,” Harris said of the anticipated decision. “In 13 of those states, women would lose access to abortion immediately and outright. Those Republican leaders who are trying to weaponize the use of the law against women, well we say, ‘How dare they! How dare they tell a woman what she can do and cannot do with her own body! How dare they!’”
With Democrats whipping the nation into a frenzy, which has resulted in radical left-wing activists published the alleged home addresses of the conservative Supreme Court justices, Pence said he was praying the five justices who voted to overturn Ros will stand firm in the face of the political tsunami being stirred following a leak indicating the court may soon overturn Roe v. Wade.
Pence tweeted Thursday, “Pray for the protection and well-being of all the Justices on the Supreme Court of the United States and especially pray that the 5 Justices in the majority opinion leaked this week will have the courage of their convictions to right a historic wrong.”

“The activists are organizing under the moniker ‘Ruth Sent Us’ and have published the supposed home addresses of Justices Amy Coney Barrett, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch,” Fox News reported.
There is reportedly a strong police presence at the justices’ homes and the activists said they will lay siege on May 11. Meanwhile, DC police have erected fencing and barricades around the Supreme Court, in anticipation of escalating protests.
