Late-night comedian Bill Maher was speaking to actor John Stamos when he revealed how he really feels about TDS sufferers.
Stamos joined Maher for the latter’s Club Random podcast, and as happens with many conversations these days, the talk eventually turned to President Donald Trump. While Maher will never be mistaken for a fan of the man sitting in the Oval Office, he also can’t stand the people who have become insufferable as a result of his presidency.

Stamos recalled Maher’s meeting with Trump, suggesting that the liberal comedian was able to get the president laughing despite their political differences. While he was hesitant to allow the conversation to turn political, Maher did have something to say on the subject.
“All I’m saying is he was extremely different. Maybe I’m the Trump whisperer. But I think we would do a lot better to have more people like me talk to him. He’s not against talking to people,” the host explained. “He’s a guy from New York, okay? He doesn’t want to be with a bunch of f**king rednecks and simpletons. Does he like ass-kissers? Yes, he does. So, there’s always going to be a couple of them around.”
After another attempt to get away from the topic of Trump, Maher noted that it’s quite impressive how the president has managed to have such a dominant presence in the lives of people over the last decade.
“It is a phenomenon we have never seen before that one person would dominate just nationally… for over a decade.”
“Every conversation, every dinner, every f**king thing,” Stamos pointed out.
“And I do think you have to fight that. Like I say, if that’s your whole personality, is the first thing out of your mouth is ‘What are we going to do about Donald Trump?’ I just can’t,” Maher added.
“You don’t have the answer,” Stamos said.
“But people think you do,” Maher countered. “I can’t get away from these people.”
In a December interview, the host echoed similar sentiments on those who let their hatred of Trump become a core part of their personality.
“I just really have no use for people whose whole personality is Donald Trump and how much they hate Trump… It’s like, ‘Oh, shut the f*** up.’ You know what, first of all, it’s all the people whose lives he hasn’t really affected at all. He has affected a lot of lives, some of them very badly.”
