Turns out, the Somali fraud scandal is not limited to the state of Minnesota alone, as the Maine Department of Health and Human Services has reportedly suspended Medicaid payments to a Somali-run charity after possible fraud was discovered.
Gateway Community Services allegedly overbilled by more than $1 million from March 2021 through December 2022 for “interpreting services” to Somali migrants, according to several audits of the charity’s finances.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! A fired whistleblower has just come forward exposing HUGE Somali fraud in Maine, just like in Minnesota.

And just as was the case in Minnesota, prominent Democrats are being tied to the alleged fraudsters — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walsh and U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) have allegedly helped to enable industrial-sized fraud in their state.
“Gateway, which was founded in 2015 by Somali migrant Abdullahi Ali, who has previously drawn scrutiny for other possible financial fraud, also is connected to a number of prominent Democrats in Maine, including B.J. McCollister, who served in Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign for the White House and was chief of staff to Maine Democrat Senate President Troy Jackson,” Just the News reported.
Somalis coming to the United States to bilk hardworking American taxpayers appears to be a common thing, with the stolen money apparently being a draw for the Democratic Party.
“This is taxpayer money, and we should be looking into this, and I’m relieved that the federal government is finally stepping in, I think, largely due to the inaction of the leaders in Maine,” Assistant Maine Senate Minority Leader Republican Matt Harrington said.
Add to these troubling reports the fact that so many Somali-Americans are on the receiving end of welfare programs, and the American taxpayer is apparently being fleeced all the way to the poor house — by foreign nationals.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Suspends payments? Why not “ends payments permanently” and turns over records to prosecutors?

Maine needs to do more than just suspend Medicaid payments to fraudulent Somali charities, they need to recover those millions of dollars.
