New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has revealed the reason behind his new mustache-only look.
The mayor surprised social media with the decision to shave his beard and leave the mustache, confirming on Tuesday that it was more than just a fashion choice.

The Post is right.
I’m sporting a mustache this “Movember” to raise awareness of men’s health issues, including prostate cancer.
But this isn’t just (upper) lip service.
This year, our administration is investing $4M toward a brand-new prostate cancer center at Kings County hospital in Brooklyn.

This year, our administration is investing $4M toward a brand-new prostate cancer center at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn,” he wrote on X, alongside a video explaining the investment.
“Movember begins on November 1 with participants typically starting the month with a fully clean shave, while mustachioed men continue to groom and grow the facial hair until the end of the month,” The New York Post reported.
X users reacted to the change:
Mayor Zohran, I may not be eligible for Movember, but that didn’t stop me from bringing my strongest mustache game. 😆 Thanks for raising awareness and investing in men’s health. pic.twitter.com/s9vphze4zJ

Mayor Mamdani, I think you have been infected with Italianism and should get medical attention immediately. It’s terminal!

Can we get the reaction of the first lady of new York when you debuted this look? Experience with my partner tells me it was probably not good

You aren’t investing anything. You are taking taxpayer money and spending it.
That is what socialists do, they lie with the truth in plain sight.

The city is broke. Where the hell do you think this money is coming from?

You look like Groucho Marx now. At least he was a hilarious joke teller.
You’re just a joke.
