Conservative podcast host Matt Walsh went undercover on a mission to answer the riveting question, “Am I racist?”
In the first Daily Wire original film which is slated for release in theaters in September, Walsh donned a man bun and infiltrated the world on the left to look at anti-racism proponents. The trailer for the documentary showed Walsh, who also starred in the 2022 film “What Is a Woman,” interviewing experts, attending workshops, and even going undercover at a progressive dinner club.
“Growing up in the ‘90s, you never thought much about race. Sure, you noticed but it never really seemed to matter that much — at least not to me,” Walsh is heard in a voiceover at the beginning of the trailer.

“Am I racist?” Walsh asks as the trailer continues by showing him being kicked out of event.
“If I’m going to sort this out, I need to go deeper undercover. If I want to be an ally, I need to look like one,” the voiceover continued as Walsh is shown putting on a new look.
Playing the role of “a bumbling, zealous DEI trainee,” Walsh is seen throughout the rest of the trailer doing sit-down interviews in character as he tries to get answers from experts and everyday Americans.
“Let’s be clear, what’s happening in this country — it’s Nazism. Republicans are Nazis. You cannot separate yourself from the bad white people,” Race2Dinner co-founder Saira Rao is heard in one clip as Walsh is seen in a face mask and the rest of his costume serving dinner.
“The entire system has to burn. And I’m not even going to use ‘save this country.’ This country is not worth saving. This country is a piece of s—,” Rao says as Walsh is seen dropping dinner plates and making a commotion.
Notably, the end of the trailer shows undercover Walsh speaking one-on-one with Robin DiAngelo, author of “White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism.”
Walsh gave his fake name when DiAngelo asked as she noted, “I just had to ask who you are because you have to be careful.”
“You can never be too careful,” Walsh replied.
Directed by Justin Folk, the Daily Wire’s first theatrical launch is set to be released in theaters on September 13.
