Maxine Waters slammed for playing the ‘weakest race card ever seen’

A video of U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is making the rounds not so much because she claims to be a victim of racism, that’s old hat for this congressional dinosaur, but because of the sheer irony behind her claim.

“As a member of Congress, when people, you know, who evidently had a racist attitude — and recently one of them even confronted me in a restaurant,” Waters said in the clip (it’s unsure when the video was recorded). “And they don’t say racist things, but what they say is they don’t like something I said, they don’t like a position that I took, but you know that, you know, if you were not black, you would not be approached that way.”

In effect, the 85-year-old Democrat is complaining about being confronted in a restaurant, assigning a racist motive to the unwelcome interruption.

The irony here, of course, is that Waters stoked up a leftist mob in 2018, calling on them to confront and harass members of Trump’s cabinet when they were out in public.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd,” she said in Los Angeles at the time. “And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

For some, the playing of the race card is getting old… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
