‘Mean tweets are back, baby!’ Trump makes grand return to X ahead of BIG interview

Ahead of a billed “INTERVIEW OF THE CENTURY,” former President Donald Trump made a social media move garnering millions of views in mere hours and sparked the trend, “HE’S BACK.”

Nearly a year after breaking the Internet with the publication of his official mug shot, the Republican presidential nominee once again ventured beyond Truth Social to directly address the digital denizens of his former main platform, X.

In the predawn hours, Trump served up a campaign ad with the caption, “Are you better off now than you were when I was president? Our economy is shattered. Our border has been erased. We’re a nation in decline. Make the American Dream AFFORDABLE again. Make America SAFE again. Make America GREAT Again! #TrumpOnX.”

Having since scored more than 20 million views, the ad featured headlines encompassing the failed policies of the Biden-Harris administration running in time with then-former California Gov. Ronald Reagan’s closing statement after debating then-President Jimmy Carter in Oct. 1980.

“Next Tuesday all of you will go to the polls, will stand there in the polling place, and make a decision. I think when you make that decision, it might be well if you would ask yourself, are you better off than you were four years ago?” asked Reagan. “Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in the country than there was four years ago? Is America as respected throughout the world as it was? Do you feel that our security is as safe, that we’re as strong as we were four years ago?”

“…if you don’t think that this course that we’ve been on for the last four years is what you would like to see us follow for the next four, then I could suggest another choice that you have,” he closed as the ad showed Trump shaking Reagan’s hand.

As was reported, Trump will be joining Elon Musk for a Spaces event on X, the platform he’d purchased and rebranded from Twitter, slated to begin 8 p.m. ET and promised to be “THE INTERVIEW OF THE CENTURY!”

The president’s last post on X had since been viewed over 312 million times when he shared his mugshot taken at the Fulton County Jail on Aug. 24, 2023, with the message, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE” and “NEVER SURRENDER!”

Unlike the nearly entire year it had taken for Trump to post again on X following that message, Trump’s account appeared to be resuming more regular activity as he went on to share another ad that included him stating, “This is the final battle. With you at my side: we will demolish the deep state; we will expel the warmongers from our government; we will drive out the globalists; we will cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists; we will throw of the sick political class that hates our country; we will rout the fake news media; and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.”

That was quickly followed by another slamming his rival with the caption, “MEET SAN FRANCISCO RADICAL KAMALA HARRIS!”

Enthusiasm for Trump engaging on the popular platform that Musk had endeavored to become a bastion of free speech set “HE’S BACK” trending as users sounded off with their own takes on that included a fair share of celebrations for the “triumphant return.”
