France’s Golden Arches served up a comical response to their nation’s gold medal loss with a suggested menu revision prompted by Team USA’s Steph Curry, “for obvious reasons…”
For the second consecutive summer Olympics, the Men’s Basketball final came down to the United States against France. Likewise, the Saturday matchup marked the second consecutive time that America had trounced her oldest ally, prompting McDonald’s France to consider nixing their “Classic Curry” sauce because of the Golden State Warriors point guard.
“For obvious reasons, we are considering removing this sauce,” the business posted on its Instagram after the U.S. was triumphant 98-87. “For 4 years minimum.”

Hardly an innocent bystander in the suggested sauce strike, Curry made his own sport of trolling the host nation, including pushing the message “nuit nuit” during and after the gold medal matchup.
While his 24 points, including four 3-pointers in the closing minutes of the game, had helped secure victory, the point guard was seen alone and with teammates posing with his hands beside his head as though he were napping to sell the “night night” message.
Additionally, while adorned with his gold medal, Curry was spotted wearing a hoodie that featured an image of the Eiffel Tower beside the “nuit nuit” dig that he’d been using as a hashtag.
“Y’all gone get this Gold Medal Content! #nuitnuit,” he posted to X.

Commenting on the dominant performance from his player, Team USA and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the game, “I’ve seen that from Steph a few times, but it never gets old. It’s a global game with a lot of great players, but we still feel we have the greatest players. They were all so unselfish throughout this whole thing, through all the noise, all the pressure. We might be the only team in the world whose fans are ashamed of them if they get a silver medal, and that’s the pressure we face.”
“But our players — and you saw Steph — they love the pressure. They appreciate this atmosphere, and they were fantastic,” he went on.
However, some issues for the Curry family were considerably less lighthearted as a video published by The Hollywood Fix showed his wife, Ayesha Curry, believed to be with two of their children as well as the player’s mother, Sonya Curry, and teammate Draymond Green in an altercation with French Police.
“Look, they won’t let us go back over there where we came from,” Sonya could be heard telling the officers as a translator acted as an intermediary with authorities. “They won’t let the driver come here, and they won’t let us go back over there.”
During the exchange, Green accused one of the officers of hitting the Curry’s baby and said, “So even after you hit the baby in the head, there’s still nothing y’all can do to get them out of here?”
The reason officers provided for preventing the group from passing was the expected movement of French President Emmanuel Macron who had attended the final.
