Mexican parents take mandated textbooks tainted with ‘virus of communism’ and set them ablaze!

Christian Mexican parents are taking school books filled with the “virus of communism” and warped gender ideology and are burning them in protest.

Investigative reporter Andy Ngo wrote on X, “People in Chiapas, Mexico & other states have been burning textbooks from the Ministry of Public Education over accusations they indoctrinate children with ‘Marxist-communist’ ideology. The protesters object to the ‘sexual & gender ideology’ in particular.”

The series of roughly three dozen government-written, free textbooks will be required reading for first through ninth grades in every school nationwide, starting on Aug. 28.

The parents took to the streets in protest of the “Marxist-communist” indoctrination of their children last week, according to Fox News.

Christian groups in Mexico have been protesting this for a while. Textbooks from the Ministry of Public Education intended for the new school year allegedly contain sexual and gender ideology content. At least 12,000 people have attended the protests in Aguascalientes which is one of the 32 states that make up the Federal Entities of Mexico, according to Mexico News Daily.

In Chiapas, parents gathered to cheerfully burn the books. That’s a southern Mexican state bordering Guatemala. Many of the residents of the town are Evangelical Christians and are done tolerating the communist ideology being foisted upon them and their children.

The enraged parents set fire to unopened boxes of textbooks outside Benito Juárez Elementary School, claiming the books teach communism, homosexuality, and lesbianism.

“At the elementary school in Chiapas… parents in the community piled up boxes of the new textbooks, doused them with fuel, and set them afire,” Mexico News Daily reported.

When the books inside the boxes didn’t catch fire quickly enough, one parent remarked that “the books are from the devil, they don’t burn so fast.”

Others used a loudspeaker to demand, “We want the previous books, not crap,” “We don’t want trash,” and “We don’t want triple-X.” Parents who attended the protest signed or stamped their names on a statement against the textbooks.

“The book burning occurred Sunday in San Antonio del Monte, a community of 2,250 within the municipality of San Cristóbal de las Casas, where 99% of residents are Indigenous, 85% speak the Tzotzil language, 17% do not speak Spanish and 16% are illiterate, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INEGI). Almost all of the residents of the town are evangelical Christians, according to newspaper Proceso,” the media outlet continued.

The textbooks from the Mexican education department were the last straw and prompted activism by the parents. More than 112,000 signatures were collected in a petition that demanded the textbooks be gotten rid of “because of sexualized and gender ideology content inserted without parental consultation.”

Mexican President López Obrador sounded a lot like President Biden, treating the parents like they were dolts. He told them they were being “misinformed and manipulated” by a politicized agenda. The parents contend that the “virus of communism” is present throughout the new textbooks.

“They have the right to demonstrate. We are free,” Obrador speciously proclaimed. He stated that the textbooks would be improved but then turned around and blamed the parents’ anger on “politicking.”

Obrador denies that the books are permeated with gender ideology indoctrination, familiarly claiming, “They have been prepared by teachers and experts.”

Governors in four Mexican states have declared that they are blocking the distribution of the textbooks to schools. Chihuahua Gov. Maru Campos has reportedly filed an injunction over the books.

According to ABC News, the parents who are opposing the books are being compared to Hitler and are being branded fascist.

“There is little doubt that the officials in charge of compiling the textbooks do wax nostalgic for the old Soviet Union. One of the two officials proudly bears the first name ‘Marx,’ and the other previously worked for Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro,” ABC News reported.

“The Rabfak, the schools for workers in the former Soviet Union, were considered spaces of knowledge. The dream is that Mexican middle schools and their textbooks can achieve that quality,” a forward for one of the seventh-grade language arts books reads.
