Michael Moore whines about ‘racist and disgusting attacks’ on Mamdani

New York City’s leading mayoral candidate found an unsurprising ally in Michael Moore as the leftist filmmaker railed about how “the level of hate is sickening.”

After years of siding against America on issues like the Second Amendment and national sovereignty — while making millions in the process — it should come as no surprise that the man behind “Fahrenheit 9/11” is supporting an Islamunist (Islamist communist) to lead the nation’s largest city.

Of course, while red flags like New York State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani’s (D) embrace of a radical imam linked to a terror attack in Gotham resound, Moore advanced claims of so-called Islamophobia over alleged “racist and disgusting attacks.”

Having backed Mamdani for months with particular favor for the politician’s stance on Gaza, the filmmaker took to his substack Tuesday to lambaste opposition like disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

“The bad news is this: in the final weeks, a new threat has emerged. The desperate Cuomo campaign and the desperate media think they have an ace up their sleeve to derail Mamdani: The fact that he’s a… MUSLIM!!!” read the commentary. “From open violent threats directed at Zohran and his family, to hateful and bigoted TV ads, to racist and disgusting attacks from the media and his opponents, the level of hate is sickening.”

Moore went on to encourage readers to watch Mamdani’s Islamophobia speech that included the debunked claim about his aunt as the politician tried to make Muslims the victims of the September 11, 2001, terror attack that killed 2,977 people and counting.

Referring to the anticipated election of the man who embraced Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, as “nothing short of miraculous,” the filmmaker had a special message for the prominent Muslim population of the Big Apple.

“And to the nearly one million Muslims in New York City who are currently being barraged with Islamophobic TV ads and mailers — I have your back. We all have your back! And to the bigots and Islamophobes and haters and warmongers — ENOUGH! IT’S OVER!” expressed Moore as the vast majority of foreign-born voters were polled as favoring a Mamdani win.

In August, Moore’s enthusiasm for the Islamunist with a “class-based economic message” found him encouraging similar candidates to run across the nation while claiming most voters choose the “liberal or progressive position on most issues.”

“I swear there is a Zohran Mamdani where you live. She is personable, inspiring, smart, a hard worker, and an organizer who will bring out the vote. You need to find that person and get them to run. Or maybe you’re that person!” he wrote months after signing on as an executive producer for the film project “From Ground Zero” that blends “animation, documentary, and fiction” to tell stories from Gaza.
