Mike Lindell may not receive a recount in his bid to be Minnesota’s next governor after losing the GOP primary.
The pillow manufacturer and Trump supporter hopped into an already crowded race, putting himself up against the likes of healthcare tech executive Kendall Quall and Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives Lisa Demuth. All were hoping for the chance to replace current Governor Tim Walz, who is not running for re-election, with Sen. Amy Klobuchar serving as the only obstacle between a Republican and the seat. Klobuchar sailed easily through the sparse Democratic primary field, receiving nearly 90 percent of the vote.
Lindell had received President Donald Trump’s endorsement in July, but it wasn’t enough for him to secure the Republican nomination. He fell behind Demuth, who received 43 percent to his 32 percent, and quickly demanded a recount that he vowed to personally fund.
However, the deadline for paying the state’s $825,000 fee passed on Tuesday without any money being wired from Lindell, according to a spokesman for Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon, NOTUS reported.
“Lindell alleged that Steve Simon, Minnesota’s top election official, narrowed the recount’s scope: Instead of reexamining all ballots, the recount would only cover those cast for Lindell and the winner of the primary, Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, and not for the other five Republican gubernatorial candidates,” the outlet continued.
He took action on Monday, according to an X post that claims “anomalies” would not be addressed under the new scope.

Proving, once again, that @MNSteveSimon is a POS.
Always gaming the system to enable fraud, putting up roadblocks to election integrity, and when the evidence is on full display that Minnesota elections are ripe with fraud, he blames those exposing it & lies that they’re fair.
