Will Cain set a former top Democrat in his place when pushback on the party’s socialist rise led to allegations of a deceptive invitation.

Tuesday on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show,” Cain hosted former Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison for a discussion about the Democratic Socialists of America and their influence on the party’s platform.
After more than five minutes of tough questions on the positions of Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, Harrison suddenly claimed he’d been welcomed under false pretenses while talking over Cain until he was kicked off.
The tone of the interview shifted more than halfway through when the former DNC official contended that the growing reach of the DSA was “more media hype than anything.” As the Fox News host reminded viewers that El-Sayed was peddling the same positions just without the branding, Harrison launched into whataboutism that likened an uninvited guest of President Donald Trump’s to a Democrat nominee for Senate.
“When Donald Trump literally sat down for dinner with Nick Fuentes, right, a white nationalist, antisemitic, Holocaust denier, do you believe that Nick Fuentes represents every Republican?” he asked before talking over Cain as the host responded, “Okay, it’s not the first time I’ve heard this analogy invoked, Jaime … That’s inflammatory, and I’m gonna respond to it so this conversation stays honest … You have to have the intellectual consistency and honesty to distinguish a dinner from a Senate candidate.”
The guest further insisted, “What is inflammatory is this: you invite somebody to come on your show to talk about the South Carolina Republican primary, and you don’t even talk about the South Carolina Republican primary! This is the reason why-”
Harrison reiterated, “Don’t invite me to come on your show to talk about the South Carolina Republican primary and you spend all your time talking about the DSA, which I’m not even a member of.”
It was at that point that, while setting the record straight, the guest talked himself right off the air, “Jaime. Jaime. Listen to me for a second. Alright. I’m gonna have to cut you off, Jaime. If my staff told you — Jaime. You can’t hear me while you’re talking. If my staff told you we were talking about the Senate Republican primary, then I apologize. I was under no pretense that I would be talking to you today about a Republican primary. I don’t know why I would book a former Democrat — alright, I’m gonna have to cut you off. We’re talking at the same time.”
“It does nobody a service. Not you, not me, or not the audience. But I would never be interested in hearing from a former DNC chair. Thank you, Jaime Harrison. I appreciate the time,” added Cain, who closed the segment by dismissing the notion that a former official of an opposing political party would have anything of substance to add to a discussion about a primary runoff.
