‘Millions’ of liberals with demands plan to walk out of work and storm local Congressional offices. ‘This should be good’

A video aiming to promote a “walkout” across America is earning mockery on social media.

On Tuesday, January 20, the “Free America” will be taking place. At 2 pm local time, protestors who want to stand up to President Donald Trump’s administration are encouraged to walk out of wherever they may be, home, office, grocery store or gym, to resist the “fascism” that Trump has brought about in his second term. A video that could be mistaken for parody upon first glance was used to promote the event.

According to a website associated with the event, participants are asked to “walk out of school,” “walk out of work,” “pause your spending,” “wear red, white and blue,” “call your legislators” and “document on social media” using the appropriate hashtag.

A list of demands was also published:

  • We demand a Free America where MAGA’s purges and power grabs end, the law applies equally, and the freedoms promised in the Constitution, to speak, write, gather, protest, and live free from tyranny and military occupation, belong to all of us, not just the powerful few.
  • We demand an economy that honors our labor and our lives by providing fair, living wages, dignified work conditions, and the power to make decisions in our workplaces. All people should have food, shelter, transport, rest, and enough joy to live and grow.
  • We demand home and health for all. Everyone deserves a safe, affordable, and lasting place to live, close to kin and roots, and care that is fair, near, and within reach.
  • We demand the right to our own bodies, including control over our reproductive decisions, gender-affirming care, and the right to build our own families free from fear and from laws used as weapons.
  • We demand justice for survivors of gender based violence, including and especially for those harmed by the wealthy and powerful who are often held unaccountable.
  • We demand peace and justice. Our labor shouldn’t fund bombs or unilateral invasions to other countries to grow the wealth of corporations and billionaires. Our tax dollars should build homes, schools, and hospitals, not cages or wars. Peace is a people’s right, not a privilege.
  • We demand truth in learning. Schools must teach the full story of our people and our past, and support the leadership of young people.
  • We demand freedom to move. Every person has the right to seek safety, love, and a better life across borders without the threats of walls or cages.
  • We demand an end to the kidnappings by ICE, investigations into and full accountability for the extra judicial killings of immigrants and US citizens, and a freeze on funding toward the abolition of ICE.
  • We demand care and respect for the planet. We all need clean air, fresh water, and a living earth. We must stop selling off the planet and our communities to big polluters, corporations, and data centers.
  • We demand a genuine democracy that lives through fair votes, free speech, and the right to gather and dissent without fear. And that ultimately puts the people and planet over profit and allows our communities to live and thrive.
