Billionaire Elon Musk’s shake-up of Twitter since his $44 billion deal to buy the San Francisco-based company has traumatized leftists as he goes about the business of cleaning out unproductive, pampered and privileged staff and working to restore free speech to the platform but nothing quite freaks out advocates for censorship like the idea that former President Donald J. Trump could have his account reactivated.
The Tesla/SpaceX CEO set the stage for the left’s worst nightmare when he posted a poll putting the question as to whether Trump’s account should be reinstated to users, sending many into fits including easily triggered Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who reacted to Musk’s gesture of democracy with her usual distortions, half truths and all the lies that she could pack into the limited character field.
“Idk man, last time he was here this platform was used to incite an insurrection, multiple people died, the Vice President of the United States was nearly assassinated, and hundreds were injured but I guess that’s not enough for you to answer the question. Twitter poll it is,” the socialist diva wrote on Friday.

She followed it up with a video of Vice President Mike Pence being escorted away by security along with cherry picked footage of some in the crowd who clashed with police.

Of course Twitter wasn’t used to start an “insurrection” because there was no legitimate attempt to overthrow the U.S. government, the small number of people who died were mainly Trump supporters including Ashli Babbitt who was gunned down in cold blood by a Capitol police officer, and Pence wasn’t even remotely close to being assassinated but like others of the leftist political persuasion and especially Democrats in Congress, the “fact checkers” were silent.
However, AOC didn’t get off the hook quite so easily from her fellow Twitter users who called out the queen of misinformation including flagging her wild claims.

The perpetually persecuted – at least in her own mind – Ocasio-Cortez topped off her J6 malarkey with a conspiracy theory, suggesting that Musk would throttle her on the platform, playing to the gullibility of her followers as she did when she claimed that Musk sabotaged her account after she was critical of him earlier this month.

As for the poll, the people triumphed over leftists and their armies of bots and after over 15 million votes had been cast, Trump prevailed.

While it remains unknown as to whether the ex-POTUS will return to Twitter, one of the last tweets he made before the plug was pulled undercuts the official D.C. establishment narrative that he called for the violent occupation of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!” Trump wrote on that fateful day before things went off the rails.

Trump has maintained that he will be posting exclusively at Truth Social but with has announcement of a 2024 White House run he would have far more reach for his message on Twitter.
