Former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer has finally been vindicated after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting and beating her and the media ran with the story.
In a caption to a video posted on X saying, “2 years later and I can finally talk about this,” Bauer gave one last defense of himself, detailing what happened.
Bauer revealed alleged messages and video from the morning after one of his hookups with Lindsey Hill. The relationship became public news in September 2022 as a video showed Hill lying in bed next to a sleeping Bauer. She appeared to be smirking in the footage with absolutely no signs of abuse, according to the video shared by Bauer below.
The pitcher claimed that Hill was in it for the money. He stated that she texted an unknown person his “Net worth is 51 mil.” The recipient allegedly replied, “b*tch, you better secure the bag.”

Bauer went on to note that the video “paints a pretty clear picture of what actually happened the evening of May 15th.”
“Now over the last two years, I’ve been forced to defend my integrity and my reputation in a very public setting, but hopefully this is the last time I have to do so, as I’d prefer to just remain focused on doing my job, winning baseball games and entertaining fans around the world,” he remarked in the video. “So today I’m happy to be moving on with my life.”
When the accusations by Hill first emerged in June 2021, she got a restraining order against him following two alleged sexual encounters. The allegations include that Bauer punched and choked her.
The pitcher admitted that the two had rough sex. But he denied Hill’s specific accusations and asserted that she lied about him punching her.
Bauer filed a defamation suit against Hill in April 2022. He also filed a lawsuit against The Athletic’s former writer Molly Knight and Deadspin for knowingly running with a false story.
Hill then countersued and was reportedly protected by some in the media:
HOLY SHLIT
Journalist @Molly_Knight formerly of The Athletic reported that pitcher Trevor Bauer fractured the skull of Lindsey Hill
At the time, The Athletic had copies of Hill’s medical records which showed there was no fracture
She reported it anyway pic.twitter.com/Szn7GhAl2U

It's so hilarious to watch everyone wake up to the truth of the Trevor Bauer accusations and the terrible journalism of Molly Knight. I've been talking about this for YEARS and people accused me of simping for a sexual assaulter.
Now can the Dodgers get their pitcher back?

“Quite frankly, regardless of the outcome in court, I’ve paid significantly more in legal fees than Lindsey Hill could ever pay me in her entire life, and I knew that would be the case going in,” Bauer contended. “But the lawsuit was never about the money for me. It was the only way for me to obtain critical information to clear my name.”
Bauer and Hill settled their respective lawsuits on Monday. Neither one of them will get money from each other. Hill’s insurance company is doling out $300,000 to her, according to The Washington Post. She also told the media outlet the lawsuit was never about money.
“I can’t stop Trevor Bauer ever,” Hill told the media outlet. “But if I make him think twice before doing that again, it’s totally worth it.”
Hill’s attorney told TMZ that Hill “looks forward to helping others” now that the lawsuits are over.
Trevor Bauer was accused of rape by a girl he was dating, Lindsey Hill and as a result he was put on leave by the MLB.
Two years later, we’re seeing Lindsey’s text messages between her and her friend where she said that Bauer was her “next victim” and that she needs “daddy to…

Video reportedly showing Hill having some sort of public meltdown has also surfaced along with at least one DUI as allegations of possible substance abuse were raised.

Bauer’s attorneys, Jon Fetterolf and Shawn Holley issued a statement claiming that Bauer wants to “focus completely on baseball” moving forward.
Bauer lost a great deal during the legal battle and during the league investigation. He was suspended for 324 games by the MLB. That was eventually whittled down to 194 games by an arbitrator.
The Dodgers ditched Bauer in January, announcing that the former Cy Young pitcher wouldn’t be a part of their organization moving forward.
The Los Angeles Times reported in 2021 that Bauer was considered a “pariah” in the clubhouse, and someone his Dodgers teammates at the time no longer wanted to play alongside.
Currently, Bauer is still unsigned and will pitch overseas in Japan this year. He signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, a team in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball, in May 2023, according to Cleveland.com.
