Move over Joy Reid. Keith Olbermann is having a meltdown for the ages

Van Jones appearing to praise former President Donald  Trump’s strength while mocking President Joe Biden for his weakness sparked a meltdown in Keith Olbermann.

The former MSNBC host ranted about Jones and demanded CNN fire the political commentator over comments he made during a panel discussion as the network covered the Republican National Convention.

“Today is a terrible day. If you pull back and look at this thing: strength versus weakness. A bullet couldn‘t stop Trump. A virus just stopped Biden,” Jones, a former Obama adviser said, referring to the attempted assassination of Trump and the fact that Biden had just been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The clip was too much for Olbermann to bear as he shared it on X along with the caption: “HEY @CNN Fire this a–hole/moron/ Trumpsucker @VanJones68 TONIGHT. Your remaining 837 viewers will accept no less.”

After last month’s debate debacle, Olbermann ripped CNN and called for the event’s moderators, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, to be “fired for journalistic malpractice.”

“Literally, I am suggesting that at some point tonight CNN should — it will not — go off the air in shame, fire everybody, seal off the buildings, make sure everybody’s out, and burn the Godd— place to the ground,” he said at the time.

Olbermann seems to have boarded the MSNBC conspiracy bus with Joy Reid, questioning whether Trump was actually grazed by a bullet at all in last weekend’s assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.

“After five days of no confirmation that the injury to Trump’s ear in the assassination attempt was actually from a bullet, we have to now assume that they’re lying about something that happened to Trump on Saturday,” he said on a video post promoting his podcast, which he repeatedly posted on his social media account.

In other posts on X, Olbermann has been stoking the fire on whether a bullet really injured Trump.

“For GOD’S SAKE: some democrat needs to ask her whether or not Trump was actually hit by a bullet as he claims,” he wrote in one post.

Meanwhile, Reid has been on a ride as well, bashing Trump before the attempt on his life as an existential threat to the nation. After he nearly lost his life at the rally, Reid came back with a wild conspiracy theory.

“We still don’t know for sure whether Donald Trump was hit by a bullet,” she said. “We know almost nothing.”

For nine full seconds Donald Trump was allowed to stand back up during an active shooting, an active shooter situation,” she continued, “even though they at that point, they said the shooter was down how would they know, how would they have known if there were more shooters or not?”

“What is the actual injury to Donald Trump’s ear that’s under that bandage? Shouldn’t we know that by now?” Reid demanded.
