Democrat Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear’s vile remarks when he suggested that Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) should have one of his family members get raped were met with outrage, but not on MSNBC.
During a Tuesday appearance on the left-wing propaganda network’s early morning flagship “Morning Joe,” the governor was rattling off his party’s hysterical talking points about abortion laws when he said that the GOP vice presidential nominee should “go through” the experience of having to deal with a family member being a rape victim.
“I mean, J.D. Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape inconvenient. Like inconvenience is traffic. I mean, it is — make him go through this,” the governor told co-host Mika Brzezinski who apparently was down with the idea given her lack of a response.
“What the hell is this?” Vance wrote on X, sharing a clip of Beshear’s repulsive comments. “Why is @AndyBeshearKY wishing that a member of my family would get raped?!? What a disgusting person.”

Beshear, a Kamala Harris surrogate, was later given an opportunity to defend his sickening remarks when the network brought him back on Andrea Mitchell’s show, not to make him apologize, but to allow him to spin it to his advantage.
BREAKING: Scumbag Andy Beshear doubles down on his vile comment wishing rape on a member of @JDVance’s family.
He then has the audacity to say that JD “lacks empathy.”

“So how do you respond to that?” Mitchell laughingly asked about Vance’s reaction. “I mean, is that what you were talking about?”
“Of course not, it’s ridiculous, but it’s also deflection. I mean, JD Vance knows that he and Donald Trump are so wrong on this issue, and so he’s trying to make himself the victim,” the governor responded.
“As a man, J.D. Vance will never have to face any of this personally. But it’s sad that he lacks the empathy to be able to put himself in a different position and to understand why having exceptions, having reproductive freedom is so important in the first place,” Beshear added. “Obviously I’d never wish harm on anyone. It just again, deflection trying to make himself and Donald Trump the victims.”
During the segment, MSNBC’s chyron read “Gov. Beshear Responds to New Attack From JD Vance,” a dishonest representation that only further confirms that it’s not a legitimate news network but a de facto public relations arm of the DNC.
“After speaking on the DNC main stage last night, Harris campaign surrogate Governor Andy Beshear went on national television this morning and explicitly called for a member of Senator Vance’s family to be raped. His comments are disgusting, vile, and should not be tolerated in American politics,” Vance’s Communications Director William Martin said in a statement.
“We call on Kamala Harris to immediately repudiate Governor Beshear’s comments and demonstrate that regardless of partisan disagreements, this kind of violent rhetoric has no place in our public discourse,” Martin added.
