MTG fires back after Trump blasts ‘stone-cold liberal’ in NC speech

The president’s question on “what the hell happened” to Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) found him alleging “confusion” as she touted an “America First” record.

Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives began the first full day of Christmas recess, and with it, Greene’s voting tenure on Capitol Hill came to an end ahead of her planned Jan. 5, 2026, resignation. However, her exit did not mark an end to political posturing as she pushed back on President Donald Trump’s latest jab at the “neurotic” and “stone cold liberal.”

“I think the President is having some confusion because my voting record and donation history is actually more conservative and America First than he is,” insisted Greene as she shared her Liberty Score from Conservative Review, which only represents the votes considered the top 50 to the outlet. “And I voted with him 98% of the time but wouldn’t take my name [off] the Epstein discharge petition.”

“But maybe his memory is not so good, I didn’t call him much but I should have called him more,” she said before turning the issue to Israel and the Jewish State’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as the post included an image denoting Greene received zero donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

“I would have told him he promised no more foreign wars and reminded him the foreign leader that wants him to bomb so much, Netanyahu, was the first foreign leader to congratulate Joe Biden after the 2020 election,” said the congresswoman. “Anyways, I’ll keep praying for him to be successful for America’s sake.”

The post from Greene came not long after Trump re-upped his “Marjorie Traitor Brown” moniker — “because green turns to brown under stress” — during a speech from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Friday evening.

“But what the hell happened to her?” asked the president. “She must have been a stone-cold liberal; she’s on CNN now all the time. Can you believe it? And it was only because I couldn’t call her back.”

Before referring to her as “neurotic” and contrasting her alleged neuroses with his own “controlled neuroses,” which he considered “okay. It gives you some energy,” the chief executive reminded how much was on his plate, keeping him from catering to one particular member of Congress.

“You know, I have 218, -19, it changes, but we have 200-and-some-odd congressmen and women. I have 53 senators. I’ve 212 countries. I’ve got a family. It’s nice to talk to my family too,” said Trump. “You can’t call a president every single day, and then when the president doesn’t call you back, she goes around saying, ‘He doesn’t call me back.’ I said, ‘Marjorie, I just can’t call you back … I’m sorry.’ And I wouldn’t call her back, and she goes onto a rant, ‘He won’t call me back anymore.'”

Before moving on in his speech, the president made clear where he stands on her departure and the narrative being spun on it as he told the crowd, “So she dropped out, and then they talk about how brave she is. No, brave would be to stay and, you know, it’s one of those things.”
