U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene just added to the growing list of those being targeted with false claims of an emergency.
The Georgia Republican shared on social media Thursday that both of her daughters had their homes “swatted” days after she was victim to the eighth such incident herself.
“Both my daughter’s houses just got swatted today. Big thanks to the police who responded! We appreciate you and support you!” Greene wrote Thursday in a post on X.

“Whoever is doing this, you are going to get caught and it won’t be funny to you anymore,” Greene added, tagging the FBI.
“Swatting incidents occur when a person or multiple individuals call in a false report of an emergency, crime, mass shooting, or kidnapping in progress to prompt a large police response. Swatting attempts have become more common in recent years, often targeting celebrities, political figures and internet livestreamers as a form of online harassment,” The Hill explained.
In another post, Greene asked if the government is “under attack” after a rash of swatting incidents directed at public officials.
“Swatting calls are coming in on many Members of Congress, Senators, State Reps and Mayors and Lt Governors, and many members of our families,” Greene wrote.
“Is our government under attack?” she added. “Swatting calls are also police harassment and an attack on police. We need to stop this now.”
Her comments came after the Georgia congresswoman was a victim of the dangerous prank again on Christmas Day, marking what she estimated was the eighth time she was targeted.

Police swarmed her home on two days in August 2022 after false reports were made claiming there had been a shooting at Greene’s house in Rome, Ga.
Though investigations have occurred, the swatting has continued with other lawmakers and public figures falling victim to the false calls.
Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) joined the growing list as he shared the news on X.
“Last night, while at dinner with my wife, cowards ‘swatted’ my home in Naples,” Scott wrote on X. “These criminals wasted the time & resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family.”

Rep. Brandon Williams (R-N.Y.) revealed that his home had also been “swatted” on Christmas.

Democrat Boston Mayor Michelle Wu was also a Christmas Day target when someone called in her address for a false emergency shooting.
“Responding law enforcement are often told there is a threat inside the home, putting the victim of such attempts in danger,” The Hill noted. “The FBI in June launched a national database to track these incidents following a push from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who called the attacks ‘dangerous, disturbing and downright terrifying.'”
