Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) doesn’t seem to fully believe that President Donald Trump’s administration will release the Epstein files.
As her beef with Trump continues, Greene has expressed her skepticism that he will keep his word when it comes to making the files from the Jeffrey Epstein case public. She said the debacle, and Trump’s hesitancy to use his power in releasing the files, has “ripped MAGA apart” and that she’s gotten “a small taste of” the intimidation Epstein survivors have felt as she goes against the president.

“The real test will be, will the Department of Justice release the files?”pic.twitter.com/2z3Q8bRmr9

“While I want to see every single name released so that these women don’t have to live in fear and intimidation, which is something I’ve had a small taste of in just the past few days, just a small taste—they’ve been living it for years,” she said during a presser. “But the real test will be: Will the Department of Justice release the files, or will it all remain tied up in investigations? Will the CIA release the files? Will a federal judge—will a judge in New York, sorry, a judge in New York, release the information? That’s information that needs to come out.”
“And will the list of names that these women privately hold—and they hold it because of their fear in their heart of what would happen to them if they release it on their own—will that list of names come out? That’s the real test. So I want to thank Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna for your bravery and doing something, doing something that is much needed in America: crossing the political aisle that has become bigger than the Grand Canyon in America,” she added. “But these men crossed that aisle on behalf of these women, and that is more of what is needed today in America than ever in our history.”

We won’t see the files until well after Trump is out of office. Trump will say ” I tried to get them to you but they tell me they have an ongoing investigation and can’t release them”

Of course MTG tries to play the victim when in reality she’s just playing politics to run for POTUS.

Greene acting like the DOJ is suddenly going to drop unfiltered files because she asked is laughable. They’ll stall, redact, bury, and “review” until the heat dies down. The real test isn’t DOJ it’s whether anyone in power actually wants the truth out. Spoiler: they don’t.

I think the test will be if people actually trust it considering how long they’ve withheld them.

And will the list they release be the same list the women have. My bet is no! Republicans will be scrubbed.
