Efforts to further demonize immigration enforcement found a new hoax about “targeting and arresting CHILDREN” readily swatted down by a Border Patrol official.
“What’s disturbing is you lie with no facts.”
As Charlotte, North Carolina, became the latest focus of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in cracking down on criminal illegal aliens present in the United States with Operation Charlotte’s Web, open borders activists followed with the usual attempts to smear and obstruct.
This included a social media account sharing so-called “disturbing” footage of an arrest being made outside the Super G Mart in Pineville, North Carolina, claiming U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol “are now illegally targeting and arresting CHILDREN in the Charlotte area,” while insisting the suspect in custody was 15 years old.
Cracking down on false claims as much as he was leading the crackdown on illegal aliens, U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino, who was seen in the video, set the record straight on X as he called out the dangers of such lies.
“What’s disturbing is that you lie with no facts. This illegal alien ‘juvenile’ was 18 years old,” stated Bovino. “He was not zip tied in the store, but led out where he tried escaping and was THEN zip tied. Lying like this needlessly incites the community, thus increasing the possibility of violence.”

In addition to claiming the suspect was 15, the social media account also claimed the “teen ran inside” where “agents pinned him to the ground, pressed his face into the cement, and sat on him while zip-tying his hands (which can be seen in the video),” despite the video clearly showing the arrest taking place outside.
Still, the account railed, “Border Patrol does not have unlimited power. Even in immigration enforcement, agents must have reasonable suspicion and follow proper procedures, especially when it comes to children. What happened here was excessive, unnecessary, and a clear violation of this teen’s rights.”
The claim that the employee at the Pineville Super G Mart was a minor was also circulated by The Charlotte Observer, citing the market’s owner, Peter Han, who later contended the young man was in his 20s.
Indicating that the account was a known quantity on X, former U.S. Department of Energy nuclear scientist Matt Van Swol called out, “She has lied … many times and I kept pointing them out that she blocked me. So many liberals don’t want to hear the truth, they just want to believe their worldview… truth be damned.”

That worldview apparently contributed to the mass absences across Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools on Monday, proving how pervasive the narrative demonizing immigration has become and the extent to which illegal aliens have come to occupy neighborhoods throughout the country.
Still others expressed little interest in the age of the suspect, as many maintained the view that the acceptable number of foreign nationals allowed to remain in the country illegally was zero.
Liar he is 18 and even if he was 15 he is an illegal time to deport

I voted for this. Remove every illegal no matter what age they are.

He shouldn’t be here illegally. End of story.
