U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene mocked her Democrat colleague, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), as being “jealous” after a claim in a livestreamed video.
Greene dismissed AOC’s remarks that she was on a “revenge tour” during a NewsNation interview. The Georgia Republican referred to the “stupid attacks” and announced she didn’t have much respect for the New York socialist.
Ocasio-Cortez shared the gossip about Greene with her Instagram followers, claiming Greene was upset with GOP leadership and President Donald Trump for blocking her from running for Georgia’s Senate seat next year.

“Here’s some tea for you. MTG, people are like, ‘Oh my God, she’s saying all these things, like, what’s gotten into her lately?’ ‘Oh, like, she’s bucking against Trump, she’s bucking against the administration,'” AOC said.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene wanted to run for Senate in Georgia. She wanted to run for Senate earlier this year in the state of Georgia. She wanted to be the Republican nominee for Senate. So, she was gearing up for that statewide race, and Trump told her no,” she claimed. “Trump said no, and the White House and Trump Land shut down Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal ambitions to run for Senate — and she has been on a revenge tour ever since.”

Greene dismissed Ocasio-Cortez’s claims as “not true” during her NewsNation interview on Wednesday.
“I put out a lengthy post back this summer about why I didn’t want to run for Senate and I see the Senate as basically where all good things go to die,” she said.
“I mean, look at the Senate right now. Because of the Senate, the gridlock in the Senate where no one can get anything accomplished, the government is shut down, and I’m a very serious person. I don’t want to go serve somewhere where all of my good ideas and bills I want to work on get completely stopped in a system that I think is utter failure, and I explained that in length,” she continued.
“The other problem with AOC is I think she’s really jealous that I came into her home state, stomped around, and actually had a great conversation with the ladies on ‘The View,'” Greene said of her recent appearance on the ABC daytime talk show.
“I think it’s good to have conversations with the other side and have respectful conversations. When I say people are sick and tired of political drama, they are fed up with it, and they are tired of the toxic culture that we have. People are tired of lies like that article you brought up. Tired of stupid attacks like AOC’s video,” she added.
“I don’t respect her very much. She’s never accomplished anything in life other than being a member of Congress, so I don’t really know what she has to offer other than gossip, but people are tired of that,” Greene concluded.
