President-elect Donald J. Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which is being headed up by Elon Musk announced that it’s looking for a special type of candidate in a post on the X platform.
Dubbed the “Manhattan Project of our time” by the soon-to-be 47th president, Trump tapped the billionaire Tesla/SpaceX CEO along with former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to oversee the effort to “dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.”
On Thursday, DOGE put out its call for qualified applicants who are willing to put in the hard work to dramatically overhaul the massive federal bureaucracy which has become inefficient, oppressive, and unresponsive to ordinary Americans who are forced to fund it.
We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE. We don’t need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting. If that’s…

“We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE. We don’t need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting. If that’s you, DM this account with your CV. Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants,” the DOGE X account said in a post.
There does however appear to be one small catch for applicants seeking to submit their resumes via DM that was pointed out by the Daily Mail.
“Users must pay for a verified X account to send messages to DOGE. The premium level membership, which costs $84 annually, gives users a verified account,” according to the outlet.
What isn’t mentioned is that a membership will be a deterrent to the millions of bots sent forth by malicious actors who are determined to sabotage any efforts to shrink the federal leviathan.
The DOGE post also didn’t provide details on how much the “unglamorous” jobs would pay.
It’s hard to imagine two better fits to head up the effort and both men have expressed an eagerness to jump right in and start downsizing the bloated federal beast.
All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency.
Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know!
We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb… https://t.co/1c0bAlxmY0

“All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency,” Musk wrote on X after Trump announced he and Ramaswamy would be leading DOGE. “Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know!”
“We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining,” the X owner added.
“Over the last 2 years, the Supreme Court has ruled that the administrative state is behaving in wildly unlawful ways. But slapping the bureaucracy on the wrist won’t solve the problem, the only right answer is a massive downsizing,” Ramaswamy said in a post to X.

“DOGE will soon begin crowdsourcing examples of government waste, fraud, & and abuse. Americans voted for drastic government reform & they deserve to be part of fixing it,” he wrote in another post announcing that examples will be crowdsourced.
“This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!” Musk stated concerning the creation of DOGE.
“Importantly, we will drive out the massive waste and fraud which exists throughout our annual $6.5 Trillion Dollars of Government Spending. They will work together to liberate our Economy, and make the U.S. Government accountable to ‘WE THE PEOPLE.’” Trump said in his announcement.
