U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace warned on Wednesday that her widely praised handling of left-wing extremist Alejandra Caraballo was just a preview of what’s to come.
Speaking on Fox News’s “Hannity,” she said that the fierce grilling she gave Caraballo will be repeated again next year, except with different witnesses, of course.
“Here’s the thing: If you’re going to be a hypocrite who advocates violence online, you probably shouldn’t do it coming before me in my committee, because what you saw yesterday is a preview of what’s going to happen next year when there’s new management in town on Oversight,” she said.
“And when you come into that room to testify, we’re going to show you for the hypocrites that you are, because there’s one standard for the left, and then there’s a standard for everybody else,” she added.
Zeroing in specifically on Caraballo, Mace noted that she’s a particularly galling hypocrite.
“These people are coming before our committee to testify, speaking out against hate speech, speaking out against violent rhetoric, as we all should, and yet these are the very same people who are using hate speech, who are using violent rhetoric against our Supreme Court Justices, and they’re hypocrites for it,” she said.
Caraballo is, as previously reported, a “transgender woman” and transgender activist who’s frequently cited by the media as an “expert” on alleged “hate,” particularly in stories about billionaire Elon Musk’s free-speech-centered Twitter.
Somehow, one of the most relentlessly hateful and dishonest people on this site — @Esqueer_ — has become a cited expert because she became Twitter friends with @oneunderscore__ & @TaylorLorenz. She and Lorenz lie about her credentials (calling her a “Harvard Law Professor: ).

Just last month, The Washington Post used a quote from Caraballo to completely trash Twitter as an alleged den of hatred and abuse.
“What Musk is doing is existentially dangerous for various marginalized communities. It’s like opening the gates of hell in terms of the havoc it will cause. People who engaged in direct targeted harassment can come back and engage in doxing, targeted harassment, vicious bullying, calls for violence, celebration of violence. I can’t even begin to state how dangerous this will be,” the quote reads.
But as noted by Mace, Caraballo is a glaring hypocrite with her own sordid history of posting violent, inflammatory tweets.
Continuing her remarks, Mace noted that this issue is particularly important to her because she knows what it’s like to be targeted by extremists.
“I mentioned in my hearing yesterday that I’ve been a victim of political violence. I’ve had my car keyed. I have had my house spray-painted. Recently, earlier this year in August, I had my house trespassed again for the second time in about a year. And I deal with threats day in and day out because I sometimes take positions that people don’t like. I’m in a purple district. That’s what happens,” she said.
“But you’ve got to stand your ground and stay and stake out those positions. But I carry a gun everywhere I go when I’m back home because of the rhetoric that I’ve seen out there, because of the threats. I’ve been accosted on the streets in public physically and verbally, and it’s not okay,” she continued.
She concluded her remarks by calling for accountability.
“You’ve been very vocal about condemning certain people and as I have as well, and we should be. But we should also be holding people accountable. I mean, somebody showed up on the steps of Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh’s doorsteps with a knife, a loaded pistol ready to kill him and himself, and we’ve got to put a stop to this nonsense. And it’s going to start Jan. 3rd,” she said.
Dovetailing back to Caraballo, she’s reportedly blocked Mace on Twitter in response to being called out in front of the entire world:
Seems weird to hold yourself out as some sort of expert on political discourse online, then not only block anyone who utters a peep of criticism, but also block a member of Congress who is unfailingly civil and substantive because she criticized you.https://t.co/5Vx0DM0JAR

But Mace isn’t the only one being blocked. There are myriads of other critics bashing Caraballo for blatant hypocrisy, and they too are reportedly facing the same fate.
Look:
@Esqueer_ Can’t take it so block the people calling you out for BS https://t.co/1aa33IUvSN

You literally advocate for and promote violence. And when confronted you don’t even stand behind your words. Terrorist, hypocrite, and coward.

Remember that time you went under oath and established yourself as a hypocrite and actual threat to democracy by your own words, and then tried to play word games that your own tweet was taken out of context? Good stuff #AlejandraCaraballo @NancyMace
