‘Narcissist’ Jimmy Kimmel roasted over fact-devoid Spencer Pratt rant

Jimmy Kimmel was roasted on social media for being a “narcissistic” late-night host who unleashed a factually incorrect rant about Los Angeles mayoral hopeful Spencer Pratt.

If there was any more proof needed that the liberal late-night talk show host is a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party, his monologue on the ABC show on Wednesday provided more than enough, with Kimmel predictably tearing into President Donald Trump and touting James Talerico’s Texas Senate race.

But his attention to Pratt as “another narcissist looking for attention” made approving headlines, such as Deadline’s, which declared, “Jimmy Kimmel Skewers Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles Mayoral Run.”  The Wrap announced: “Jimmy Kimmel Tears Into Spencer Pratt’s Run for LA Mayor,” while the Daily Beast noted, “Kimmel Finds Cringe Reason MAGA Star Should Be Disqualified From Election.”

Kimmel compared Pratt to President Donald Trump for their reality show backgrounds, but blasted what he said was an inexperienced Pratt who is in a tight race against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles Councilwoman Nithya Raman.

“Now, the difference between Donald Trump and this guy is, Donald Trump actually had a job before he was on a reality show. He wasn’t good at the job. He got all the money for it from his dad. The only thing he was good at was promoting himself, and it turned out that was enough,” Kimmel said. “And, as a result, we are going to have to spend the next three decades digging out of this giant hole he put us in. But this hole now has given birth to Spencer Pratt, who is running for mayor.”

“Mayor should not be your first job. The mayor of L.A. is in charge of a $14 billion annual budget. Spencer Pratt is not the person who should be in charge of that,” he continued, rolling out a litany of “facts” about the mayoral candidate.

Pratt reacted to Kimmel’s monologue on X: “Jimmy’s secretly voting for me.”

Social media users blasted Kimmel for his hypocrisy, as he even admitted that “this city is a mess” and that it’s ” hard not to agree” with Pratt.
