NBC waits…and waits…as Milwaukee officials scramble to fix a rather inconvenient ‘human error’

NBC News tried to wait out a “tabulation error” in the Wisconsin Democratic primary, resulting in some incredibly awkward television.

Polling in the governor’s race showed socialist candidate Francesca Wong leading by a significant margin, so how is it that she lost to Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley? While critics might attribute such a loss to the resurfacing of wild and radical social media posts from several years ago, others are questioning a reported “tabulation error” in the election data.

As it turns out, five USB sticks containing absentee ballot results were only comprised of audit logs, instead of the actual voting totals. Officials reportedly attributed this to “human error” and it ultimately postponed the final vote, which ultimately ended up handing Crowley the shocking victory.
