Golfer’s camera was rolling at the exact moment lightning struck him

However bad your worst game of golf may be, it can’t compare to one Ohio man’s nightmare day on the course.

Chris Schiavone was enjoying a day out with his friends at the Pebble Creek Golf Course near Cincinnati when a storm rolled in. While the rain might have been enough to ruin the day, having gotten the group’s golf cart stuck in the mud, nobody could have guessed what happened next.

Watch:

Schiavone had just pulled out his phone to record their struggle when he was immediately struck on the arm by lightning. The camera recorded the moment, showing a pop of fiery sparks followed by Schiavone falling to the ground as he lost sensation in his body.

USA Today indicates that the golfer was taken to the hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
