The circumstances surrounding Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband being attacked in their $6 million San Francisco home by a man wielding a hammer is fraught with questionable details. In an age when media trust is at an all-time low, nailing down the facts is proving to be like trying to nail Jello to a wall.
The assault reached an EPIC level when Elon Musk, who now bills himself as “Chief Twit” having taken control of Twitter, elevated what is widely seen as a fabricated claim that the assailant was actually a male prostitute in the home at Paul Pelosi’s invitation — citing the 911 dispatcher. The Los Angeles Times reported that Pelosi said he “doesn’t know who the male is, but he advise that his name is David and then [said] he is a friend.”
This was later construed as Pelosi “tricking” his attacker by using code. At the same time, there were initial reports of a third person in the home.
Citing San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott, Politico reported that “officers arrived at the house, knocked on the front door and were let inside by an unknown person,” and immediately encountered Pelosi and his attacker, David DePape, struggling for a hammer.
“Meet the Press” anchor Chuck Todd spoke about there being “a hint of a third person in the house” on Sunday’s show, with NBC News correspondent Tom Winter also citing the police chief to confirm that — Winter would also report that DePape was “in the Pelosi bedroom,” citing San Francisco District Attorney Brent Jenkins.
Bizarre moment on Meet the Press this morning. @chucktodd says @Tom_Winter has “new details” about the “third person” who let the police in before the attack. Winter just reiterates what police said Friday about 3rd person and pivots to attacker’s social post. 90 seconds in here: https://t.co/Hp1kkR5ePM

But alas, the rather significant detail of a third person would soon be relegated to the waste bin, as the San Francisco Police Department would come back to say there was no one else in the home other than Pelosi and DePape:
Breaking on @MSNBC:
San Francisco PD tells NBC News that there were just two people in the Pelosi home at the time of the attack, not three. And neither the suspect nor Paul Pelosi knew each other prior to the attack. NBC News has also confirmed zip ties were found on the scene.

MORE: The SFPD also says that there were only TWO people inside the Pelosi home (Paul Pelosi and DePape) when they responded, clarifying statements made at Friday’s press conference which seemed to indicate there was a third person inside the home who opened the door. (2/2)

Keep in mind, the political class has given the American people every reason to distrust them over the course of the last 4-6 years. It’s also safe to suggest that Speaker Pelosi is actively engaged in controlling the narrative surrounding the assault of her husband in the runup to next week’s election.
Of course, there’s ONE WAY to confirm the question once and for all:
Should be simple to clarify by releasing all police body-cam footage and all other relevant videos as well, right?
Otherwise, we don’t remotely believe the “official” version of this event. https://t.co/pWTIHOVXPk
