New migrant caravan is marching toward the US, DHS responds

Once President Donald Trump took office and started actually enforcing immigration laws — coupled with the dismantling of USAID, which served as a de facto Democratic slush fund — the hundreds of thousands of migrants flooding across the border monthly under the Biden administration dwindled to a trickle almost overnight.

Yet, with another election looming, suddenly there are reports of a migrant caravan heading to America. There are a reported 400-600 people in the caravan, which is named ‘Fe y Esperanza’ or ‘Faith and Hope,’ coming mainly from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

“A migrant caravan with hundreds of people, mainly from Central America, continued traveling on foot through southern Mexico as the group headed towards the United States in hopes of work and better opportunities for their children,” Reuters reported.

The “migrants” are reportedly hopeful that Democrats will take control of Congress in the upcoming midterms and ease U.S. border policies, though border enforcement still falls under the executive branch of the federal government, primarily managed through the Department of Homeland Security.

As for the DHS, the agency responded to a Reuters X post to declare: “There is absolutely ZERO chance this caravan will be allowed into the United States. We will protect our borders — America is a nation, not an economic zone.”

So why is the caravan coming? Theories suggest that left-wing political goals can be satisfied via the manipulation of a handful of destitute migrants:

At the center of another potential invasion of America, of course, is the narco-state of Mexico, which serves as a conduit funneling the world to our doorstep, and the NGOs facilitating their movement — often at taxpayer expense.

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on X:
