Republican frontrunner Donald J. Trump flipped the script on failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who recently called for the “deprogramming” of his supporters during an appearance on CNN.
A new ad from the former president’s campaign features Mrs. Clinton gaslighting American voters to reelect President Joe Biden by distorting his dismal record, suggesting that she is engaging in brainwashing.
The ad, which was posted to Truth Social on Saturday and also shared by X users, is titled “Brainwashed” and shows the embittered sore loser of the 2016 presidential election’s CNN remarks that Trump’s supporters are “cult members” who are in need of “formal deprogramming” in a creepy statement right out of the old Soviet Union.

“Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members,” Clinton said in her interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour broadcast earlier this month. “And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure, he’s only in it for himself.”
“A brilliant plan,” says a male narrator. “And here’s what that would look like.” The video shows blindfolded voters marching like zombies in a straight line as a burly man who looks like a party boss barks orders at them using a megaphone.
The former secretary of state’s praise of Biden and insulting of the “deplorables” who voted for the wrong guy are also played.
The ad also takes a shot at the inversion of the term “Bidenomics” which was at first used derisively to describe the geriatric Democrats’ failed policies that brought the worst inflation in four decades but was latched onto by Biden and his cynical crew, much like “democracy” which has been distorted to mean the party’s agenda rather than the traditional definition.
“But there’s one small problem. Working Americans aren’t idiots,” a narrator says. “And they know who’s on their side,” as a woman breaks free, rushing to the front of the line to display a video of Trump speaking.
“To American workers watching their take home pay shrink and watching inflation destroy their family and their lives, to all of you, I have your back,” the former, and perhaps future president says.
The spot, which riffs on George Orwell’s “1984” makes a statement about a party and its subservient media that no longer even bothers to tell the truth which has been completely replaced by propaganda in a real-life version of the dystopian society portrayed by the visionary British author.
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And that process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except the endless present in which the party is always right,” Orwell wrote in his book that while written over 70 years ago, was truly prophetic.
