New Trump spox shades Senate for not passing SAVE America Act amid several tight races

White House press secretary Katie Zacharia is kicking off her career by shading the Senate’s SAVE America Act inaction.

As the midterms enter the final stretch, voters are seeing a number of very close races in areas where small numbers of ballots will decide the winners and losers. Election security is more important than ever in races like these, but the Senate has been dragging its feet on legislation that President Donald Trump has deemed urgent.

Zacharia didn’t shy away from the subject in a Fox News spot on the president’s campaign efforts.

Watch:

“The easiest solution would have been for the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act! If they had passed the SAVE America Act, I don’t even think we would be talking about a lot of these tight races,” she predicted, adding, “What I would have loved and what the American people deserved was to have the SAVE America Act.”

“And President Trump did not mince words on needing to get that passed, but there’s only so much he can do. At some point, the House and the Senate need to step up and come behind him and create laws so he doesn’t have to do it by the stroke of his pen,” she added.
