The Champ: Mike Tyson visits White House, travels with Trump to rally in NY

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson joined forces with President Donald Trump, attending a New York campaign rally.

Tyson was photographed in the White House press briefing room with a massive smile on his face:

He also posed with assistant to the President & White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung, who jokingly warned “no ears were safe.”

Eventually, Trump and Tyson headed out to New York, but not before stopping by reporters.

“We’re going up to a place called Syracuse and we’re gonna get some wonderful people elected. This is Iron Mike Tyson. I won’t be fighting him today, but I’ve been his fan for a long time. We’ve been friends for a long time. Iron Mike — there’s nobody like him,” Trump gushed. “He was a champ, he was a real champ. People were afraid to fight him. He was something special. He’s going with us to Syracuse.”

The fighter was even brought on stage to speak:

“I’m just happy to be up here with my president, President Trump! There’s no way I’d be here if it wasn’t for a president like Donald Trump!” Tyson exclaimed.

Trump was campaigning to help Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman turn the blue state red, asking voters to “[p]lease pretend I’m on the freaking ballot” when they are voting this November.

“And in a really, in a certain way, I am on the ballot because they can take away everything that we, that we got,” he added.

“[Blakeman will] save this state. He’ll turn the state around and I’ll help him from the White House. I’ll be helping him for governor,” Trump said.
