Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been a busy man since being named Time’s 2021 “Person of the Year,” first getting into an online tiff with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., in which the world’s richest man took no prisoners in calling the left-wing Democrat “Senator Karen,” and now fending off potshots from MSNBC host Joy Reid.
Perhaps, Reid should have paid attention to Musk wiping the floor with Warren to tread more carefully — then again, she will never be confused as an intellectual giant.
Coming as no surprise, Reid was quick to come to Warren’s defense on the prime time platform MSNBC grants the host to spew her racially divisive rhetoric — it could reasonably be argued that they are both closeted socialists. Not only did Reid have Warren on as a guest to fire back at Musk, she also included a petty little snippet directed at him during a segment called “The Absolute Worst.”
Par for the course, Reid accused Musk of “misappropriating black vernacular” — there’s a reason Fox News host Tucker Carlson refers to Reid as the “angry race lady.”
“Elon wasn’t happy, so he did what he always did, and stomped his little feet and insulted Senator Warren,” Reid said. “Calling her an ‘angry mom’ and referring to her as Senator Karen.”
‘”So for so many reasons — being a freeloader, and a selfish and disrespectful one, and for misappropriating black vernacular for misogynistic purposes — Elon Musk is the absolute worst,” Reid said. “Meanwhile Senator Warren has better things to do than fight with Junior Birdman on Twitter.”
So there you have it, on behalf of African Americans everywhere Reid declared that black people own the term “Karen” and that any white person who uses the pejorative term is guilty of cultural misappropriation AND misogyny.

Warren had taken exception to Time’s choice, and responded by taking a cheap shot at the SpaceX founder, claiming in a tweet that Musk does not pay taxes and is “freeloading off everyone else.” The senator tweeted: “Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else.”
Musk fired back in a series of tweets: “You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason,” he said, adding, “Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen.”
As for the barbs from Reid, Musk didn’t have to reach far to swat the annoyance away. He simply went with reality, tweeting: “(Lack of) Joy Reid is a lobbyist for Sen Karen.”

MSNBC has clearly not been dissuaded by CNN’s ratings collapse to reconsider being a mouthpiece for the radical left. And Reid advanced the narrative put forth by Warren that Musk does not pay much in taxes, if any. An attack that is careful to include the phrase “income tax,” as seen from Warren during her appearance on the show.
“The world’s richest freeloader evidently has a very thin skin,” the senator sniped. “But you know the part that makes me angry about this? It’s on behalf of every public school teacher, every waitress, every computer programmer, every street cleaner who actually paid taxes, and that means they paid more than Elon Musk did in federal income taxes.”
“And that’s just not right, and it means the system is broken,” Warren added.
Typical class warfare expected from those steeped in Marxist principles, but more importantly an angle to further justify tearing the whole thing down and building back better.
All of this coming on the heels of Musk selling $906 million in Tesla stock as part of a recent pledge to sell 10 percent of his holdings in the company, CNBC reported.
The sale included a hefty tax bill.
“The main reason Musk is selling is to pay the taxes on the exercise of options that expire next summer. As part of a 2012 compensation package, the Tesla CEO was given options on 22.8 million shares that expire next August,” CNBC’s Robert Frank reported. “The options were valued at more than $28 billion when Musk started selling shares, which means his tax bill would have been as high as $15 billion.”
“The stock has since fallen more than 20%, along with his tax bill,” Frank continued. “According to InsiderScore/Verity, Musk has sold 6.5 million shares to cover the taxes on about 15 million options. To exercise all his options — which is likely, since letting them expire leaves billions on the table — Musk will likely exercise another 7.8 million options and sell a corresponding $4 billion or more to pay the taxes.”
The greatest irony in Reid claiming cultural appropriation is that for years, blond hair, blue eyed Warren claimed Native American heritage — a claim that failed to pan out under scrutiny.
“Groundbreaking stuff from Joy Reid per usual!!” tweeted Daily Caller’s Brianna Lyman.
Lol @elonmusk accused of cultural appropriation but Pocahontas isn’t.
