Next phase of impeachment inquiry begins today: ‘The Bidens sell Joe Biden’

With Hunter Biden’s associates slated to testify publicly Wednesday, a GOP committee leader previewed how “The Bidens sell Joe Biden.”

The impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden has continued on Capitol Hill and, after conducting depositions and interviews, Kentucky Rep. James Comer (R) prepared to enter a new phase. In advance of a joint hearing with the House Committee on the Judiciary, the chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability teased how their witnesses would speak to selling “The Brand” that was then-Vice President Joe Biden.

“What is apparent, after over a year of investigation, is that the Bidens do not work in any traditional sense of the word,” Comer was expected to say according to prepared remarks obtained by Fox News Digital. “They do not work as consultants. Or lawyers. Or advisors. The Bidens don’t sell a product or a service or a set of skills.”

“The Bidens sell Joe Biden,” read the congressman’s statement.

This conclusion was set to support how the impeachment inquiry had “found no credible evidence of the Bidens providing any work product” and “identified no legitimate value or document or even one single hour of work that the Bidens have provided their business partners.”

Witnesses that had been invited to testify Wednesday included the younger Biden and his former business associates, Devon Archer, Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis. With the latter two expected to appear, the Judiciary Committee released a video titled “The Brand” that included previously unpublished video testimony from them.

“Our goal, that is Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and myself,” said Galanis from a federal prison where he is serving a 14-year sentence having pleaded guilty to securities fraud, “was to make billions, not millions.”

“The entire value add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden,” he continued as he spoke to his investment with them in exchange for “relationship capital.”

Bobulinski, who had worked with Hunter Biden in relation to the Chinese energy company CEFC, could also be heard saying from his experience, “I’ve subsequently come to learn, it is clear to me that Joe Biden was the brand being sold by the Biden family.”

Comer’s opening went on to add Joe Biden “has taken action after action to further his family’s plans to get rich.”

“The scam is simple. The Biden family promises they can make a foreign partner’s problems go away by engaging the U.S. government. It’s done over and over again. The Biden family promises Joe’s power, Joe Biden shows up, and millions of dollars come into the Biden’s pockets,” his statement read. “Joe Biden is the Biden family’s closer.”

Neither Archer nor Hunter Biden were expected to attend as Abbe Lowell, attorney for the president’s son, had referred to the hearing as a “carnival sideshow” in a letter sent to the committees.

“Your blatant planned-for-media event is not a proper proceeding but an obvious attempt to throw a Hail Mary pass after the game has ended,” the attorney furthered while also indicating that the Capitol Hill hearing would conflict with his client’s schedule to appear at a hearing the following day in California.

Comer had previously slammed the president’s son for seeking a public hearing but then balking when given the opportunity and said, “The House Oversight Committee has called Hunter Biden’s bluff. Hunter Biden for months stated he wanted a public hearing, but now that one has been offered alongside his business associates that he worked with for years, he is refusing to come.”

Asserting that the younger Biden’s previous testimony contradicted that of his former associates, the Oversight chair added, “The American people demand the truth and accountability for the Bidens’ corruption.”
