NFL split over ‘Pride Month’ messaging as 11 teams refusing to cave to rainbow pressure

As the majority of the NFL rushes to kneel at the altar of political correctness and “Pride Month,” at least 11 teams are abstaining from the rainbow genuflection being pressed upon them.

June is “Pride Month” and the powers-that-be in the NFL are all in for the celebration. In fact, the media, teachers, employers, the Internet, and leftist pundits are constantly bombarding everyone with the message that they need to recognize homosexuality as something to be revered or they are a bigot and full of hate.

OutKick noted that the majority of NFL teams have fallen in line to give homage to the rainbow mafia, “The practice of men sleeping with men, women sleeping with women, some men becoming women and some women becoming men – with the folks who say they are now neither men nor women also included – was celebrated by about two-thirds of the NFL’s teams on Saturday via social media.”

“The message, delivered on X via team timelines, was sent by 21 of the NFL’s 32 teams to their approximate 42 million total followers. Some teams tweeted out their support that pride month has arrived. Some delivered expanded messages as part of that support,” the media outlet noted.

Some NFL teams such as the Washington Commanders claim that “Pride Month” is all about love and have modified their logos on X to reflect their support. The Buffalo Bills, Vikings, and Philadelphia Eagles joined the Commanders in that respect.

Other teams are tellingly silent on the issue. That would not include the NFL as a whole though. The sports organization holds an annual gala in partnership with GLAAD and promotes gay community events.

Strangely, however, the NFL itself did not post on X its support for “Pride Month.” It merely retweeted the Chicago Bears’ and Jaguars’ posts, according to Outkick.

While 11 teams have not come out in direct support of “Pride Month,” it should be noted that no team has outright opposed it.

The 11 NFL teams who have remained silent concerning “Pride Month” include: “The Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons.”

“All the teams in two NFL divisions – the AFC East and NFC West – tweeted support for pride month. One division – the AFC North – had three of four teams stay silent on the topic, with Baltimore embracing pride month. Three divisions – the AFC West, NFC North, and NFC South – spilt among the four teams, with two supporting and two teams remaining silent,” the media outlet wrote.

The division in the NFL highlights the battle lines drawn over the issue across the nation. “Pride Month” is just one issue, but America seems to be politically and culturally divided on just about everything currently. It’s reminiscent of the Civil War without the bloodshed and is the very essence of a massive culture war.
