Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson thrashed a critic on Twitter in a now-deleted vulgar tweet following the team’s stunning loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team’s fourth loss this year compared to seven wins.
The clap back came on Sunday about half an hour after Jackson went 16-for-32 for 254 yards and one touchdown in the 28-27 loss, according to the New York Post.
“When someone is asking for over 250 mil guaranteed like @Lj_era8… games like this should not come to @jtuck9 [Ravens kicker Justin Tucker]. Let Lamar walk and spend that money on a well rounded [sic] team,” the user bluntly tweeted, tagging Jackson in the message.
“Boy STFU y’all be cappin too much on this app mf never smelt a football field never did s*** but eat d***,” Jackson angrily shot back.

According to CBS Sports, Jackson’s tweet got more than 13,000 likes in the first hour it was up.
Three and a half hours later, the quarterback reportedly deleted the ill-considered tweet.
The finish for the game was a wild one where the Ravens had a 27-20 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the game. Jaguar’s quarterback Trevor Lawrence led a drive that ended with a touchdown and a successful two-point conversion with seconds to go in regulation. The Ravens placekicker Justin Tucker came up just short with a 67-yard field-goal attempt as time expired.
Jackson was upset after the game, the Ravens’ third loss this season after leading by multiple scores in the fourth quarter — the feat was historic in that it ties the most ever by an NFL team in one season, according to research by ESPN Stats & Information.
“I don’t like losing,” Jackson stated. “Nobody likes losing.”
Jackson admitted that it would have been a different game if Baltimore hadn’t struggled to finish off drives early. The Ravens finished 2-of-5 in the red zone, settling for three short-field goals.
“I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t know what to tell you,” Jackson said when asked about the red zone difficulties. “You see it, I’m seeing it, but I’m out there trying to make it happen.”

It is unknown if the Ravens and Jackson will come to an agreement on an extension for his future with the team.
In September, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jackson turned down a contract offer believed to be worth approximately $250 million.
According to CBS Sports, “Even though he’s in the final year of his rookie deal, there’s almost a zero percent chance that Jackson will end up hitting free agency. After the season is over, the Ravens will look to negotiate a new deal with Jackson, but even if they can’t work something out, Baltimore can still hit him with the franchise tag.”
The quarterback was the league MVP in 2019. He has thrown for 2,231 yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions through 11 games this season.
Jackson was hammered on social media:
Yeah I think Lamar takes the L here.

Whenever a player responds, it’s common to say he owned the fan. But it’s just such a bad look to respond.

That guy ain’t wrong. You’re asking for top QB money you have to be able to carry the team to victory. All the elite QBs have done it. No excuse for Lamar. I’m a huge fan of his since he was drafted, but sometimes you gonna carry the burden as a leader.Gotta win those close games
