‘Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!’ Trump scores a Biden-bashing win off Megan Rapinoe’s fail

Former President Donald Trump scored a twofer off of Megan Rapinoe’s missed penalty kick that knocked the USA out of the FIFA Women’s World Cup competition: Not only did he get a shot off at his longtime activist foe, but he also made the anti-American player the poster child for all that is wrong with the country under President Joe Biden’s leadership.

Rapinoe’s last World Cup ended on a karmic note on Sunday after she missed a penalty, handing Sweden a 5-4 win and taking out her team in the second round — the earliest exit from a major tournament in the team’s history.

In response to one user on X who noted that it’s “weird watching Americans celebrate an American loss,” U.S. soccer legend Alexi Lalas slammed the USWNT for its “polarizing” political activism.

“Don’t kill the messenger,” he replied. “This #USWNT is polarizing.”

“Politics, causes, stances, & behavior have made this team unlikeable to a portion of America,” Lalas stated. “This team has built its brand and has derived its power from being the best/winning. If that goes away they risk becoming irrelevant.”

Rapinoe and Trump first crossed swords after the liberal player began taking a knee in protest during the playing of the national anthem, calling it a “good ‘F you'” to the then-president’s administration.

“I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart,” the player said in May 2019. “I’ll probably never sing the national anthem again.”

With the championship in sight, Rapinoe, a rabid anti-Trumper, said, “I’m not going to the f—ing White House. No. I’m not going to the White House.”

“I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer,” Trump shot back, “but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!”

He then extended a formal invite to the team to visit the White House, win or lose, but the gloves were clearly off, sides were picked, and conservative Americans united in their dislike of the woke player.

So naturally, in August 2021, President Biden called Rapinoe “the best of what America stands for.”

After her shocking Sunday miss, Trump leveled both his adversaries with a post to his social media platform, Truth Social.

“The ‘shocking and totally unexpected’ loss by the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to Sweden is fully emblematic of what is happening to our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden,” he wrote. “Many of our players were openly hostile to America – No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close.”

“WOKE EQUALS FAILURE,” the GOP primary frontrunner exclaimed. “Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA.”

And Trump wasn’t the only one tossing salt in Rapinoe’s self-inflicted, very public wounds.

In a post-loss interview, a tearful Rapinoe said “equal pay chance” is the career memory that stands out to her and The Blaze’s Sara Gonzales stated, “I’m gonna be honest, I really enjoy seeing Megan Rapinoe cry.”

“The anti-American USA woke women’s soccer team has been eliminated and Megan Rapinoe is the cause of it,” said the wildly popular Catturd. “I can’t stop laughing.”

“Dear Megan Rapinoe,” wrote journalist Eric Spracklen. “We will never forget your disrespect. Sincerely, America.”
