Nikki Haley has just 3 words for DeSantis amid rumors he’s poised to enter 2024 presidential race

The highly anticipated entry of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis into the 2024 Republican primary fray will reportedly take place next week and the news was greeted by White House hopeful Nikki Haley who reacted with three short words.

“We’ve been waiting,” Haley said in welcoming the Sunshine State leader to what is expected to be a brutal demolition derby in which no-hope candidates like herself and ABC News blowhard Chris Christie will use their place on debate stages to launch attacks on the staunchly conservative DeSantis and the current frontrunner, former President Donald J. Trump, who could both have serious damage inflicted on them by RINO establishment kamikazes that would greatly aid the Democrats in securing a second term for Joe Biden.

The former South Carolina governor and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration spoke with The Hill in an interview from the banks of the Mississippi in Iowa where she was campaigning in the key early-voting battleground state.

“Welcome to the race. We’ve been waiting,” she said, adding, “I’m glad that he’s going to be out there, because I want the American people to see who they’re choosing from.”

Haley, who would be the first GOP female presidential nominee if she is able to pull off the unthinkable, has staked out her ground on being closer to Democrats on the emotional hot-button issue of abortion while the Florida governor has been portrayed as an extremist.

“The idea that a Republican president is going to go ban all abortions is not true,” she told the outlet, seeming to imply that DeSantis would impose a national ban on women seeking to deprive their unborn babies of the right to live. “So I think we have to be honest with the American people, not scare them, but tell them the truth and let them know exactly what is truly debatable and what’s not.”

She also insisted that she is in the race to win, “I don’t play for second. I’ve never played for second. I’m doing this to win it.”

Other than moving to the left on abortion, Haley has joined other candidates – including Trump himself – in siding with “woke” entertainment giant Disney in the company’s ongoing war with DeSantis after its efforts to undermine his parental rights law that escalated into a battle over the mouse house’s special self-governing privilege that allows it to receive preferential treatment not afforded to other corporations operating in Florida.

Last month, she invited Disney to relocate to South Carolina, offering to introduce company execs to the current governor and state lawmakers.

DeSantis doesn’t appear to see Haley as a legitimate candidate, reportedly telling donors on a call that was organized by a super PAC that supports him that “You have basically three people at this point that are credible in this whole thing,” and her name was not among them.

“I don’t know what the reason is. And I don’t worry about what the reason is. But being underestimated has been a blessing for me because it makes me scrappy,” Haley told The Hill. “And so, I don’t care why people dismiss me. I enjoy the moment when I can prove them wrong.”
