Louisiana dealt a death blow to Zuckbucks in a major election integrity win as the state flipped its governor’s seat red, crushing leftist dreams.
Democrats had a very bad time of it last week when they lost the only Democrat-held governor’s seat in the Deep South. Trump-backed Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry won his bid to become Louisiana’s governor, replacing Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards.
In a one-two punch, “Louisiana voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment on Saturday banning the use of private money in election administration.” In other words, Zuckbucks went down in flames in the Bayou State.
“Passed by nearly two-thirds (72.6 percent) of voters during the state’s Saturday elections, the new amendment to Louisiana’s constitution stipulates that “[n]o funds, goods, or services donated by a foreign government or a nongovernmental source shall be used to conduct elections unless provided for in the election code and subject to restrictions provided by general law,” The Federalist reported.

“The proposal’s passage makes Louisiana the 26th state to ban or restrict the use of private money in elections and the first to ban the practice via the constitutional amendment process,” The Federalist added.
“Elections should never be privatized in Louisiana or anywhere else, and we’re pleased that voters resoundingly decided to ban ‘Zuckerbucks’ once and for all at the polls,” Ken Cuccinelli, who is the chair of the Election Transparency Initiative, told The Federalist in an interview.
The president of the State Freedom Caucus Network, Andy Roth, was elated over the amendment’s passage. He told The Federalist that he is “honored” his organization was part of the effort to make it “illegal for foreign or private money to be used in elections.”
Congrats to the patriots in the @LAFreedomCaucus!
The LAFC also led the charge to ban Zuckerbucks, which passed with 73% of the vote as a ballot initiative.

“Louisiana has struck a blow against Zuckerbucks and all of its iterations,” Roth declared.
The newly passed constitutional amendment officially bans the use of “Zuckbucks,” which were allegedly utilized to “alter election administration during the 2020 election.” Nonprofits such as the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) received hundreds of millions of dollars from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to ostensibly sway the election.
“These ‘Zuckbucks’ were poured into local election offices in battleground states around the country to change how elections were administered; among other things, this was done by expanding unsupervised election protocols like mail-in voting and the use of ballot drop boxes. To make matters worse, the grants were heavily skewed toward Democrat-majority counties, essentially making it a massive, privately funded Democrat get-out-the-vote operation,” The Federalist noted.
As voters tanked Zuckbucks in the state, conservative activist Scott Presler was instrumental in the heavy lifting that took place in Louisiana to flip the governor’s seat red.
Woke up feeling on top of the world.
Thank you to every person who helped win Louisiana.
This was the plan from the beginning:
Win the LA governorship outright. Now, we can spend all of our time in KY, MS, NJ, PA, & VA.
We proved we can win.
— #ThePersistence (@ScottPresler) October 15, 2023
Presler did the legwork but GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel evidently didn’t miss the opportunity to try and take credit for the win.
Congratulations to @JeffLandry, the next Governor of Louisiana!
This is a historic victory – avoiding a runoff with his resounding vote total – and a flip of the governor’s office from Democrat to Republican!
— Ronna McDaniel (@GOPChairwoman) October 15, 2023
In response, Presler simply and deftly burned McDaniel big time. It was in a word, elegant.

Pressler’s hard work was recognized by those on X as well as McDaniel’s hogging the credit for it:
This is thanks to @ScottPresler not you. Maybe you should reach out to him instead of ignoring him.
There are some very important elections coming up and he is working his butt off with no help from the GOP. You need to get him some help immediately.— democrat no more (@WalkFromDems) October 15, 2023
Thank you @ScottPresler for working tirelessly in LA to help ensure the Republican success of @JeffLandry. The Republican Party owes a debt of gratitude to you. Congratulations to @JeffLandry.

You could thank @ScottPresler .
He did FAR more than you to make it happen— Penguin – behind enemy lines (@penguin74us) October 15, 2023
While you were getting your hair and nails done, @ScottPresler was GOTV’ing.
— Polybius Champion (@PolybiusChamp) October 16, 2023
Congratulations are definitely in order for @JeffLandry as well as Scott @ScottPresler
Without his efforts this would not have been possible.
You should do the honorable thing @GOPChairwoman and hand the Chair to him.
Thank you Scott!— ZZZ (@AskMeLaterOn) October 15, 2023
Ronna sit this one out and learn from Scott. https://t.co/XNlEKRxuEq

Stop acting like you did anything at all. The credit goes to the Landry team as well as @ScottPresler.
You’re a disgrace. Resign.
