Move over Elon Musk, Democrats have another target to demonize.
That’s not to say Dems will relent on the Musk-hate. Still, their collective rage-tent grew bigger after a New York Republican introduced legislation to make President Donald Trump’s birthday a federal holiday.
Rep. Claudia Tenney’s bill H.R. 1395 was announced on Friday with little fanfare but has quietly gained attention after the holiday weekend. Unsurprisingly, not all of it is good.
“No modern president has been more pivotal than Donald J. Trump,” Tenney wrote on X Monday. “Today, I introduced legislation to designate Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day as a federal holiday, ensuring President Trump’s contributions to American greatness are forever enshrined into law.
“Just as George Washington’s birthday is codified as a federal holiday, President Trump’s birthday should also be celebrated to recognize him as the founder of America’s Golden Age,” she added.
Tenney’s press release echoed the same sentiment and more:
No modern president has been more pivotal for our country than Donald J. Trump. As both our 45th and 47th President, he is the most consequential President in modern American history, leading our country at a time of great international and domestic turmoil. From brokering the historic Abraham Accords to championing the largest tax relief package in American history, his impact on the nation is undeniable. Just as George Washington’s Birthday is codified as a federal holiday, this bill will add Trump’s Birthday to this list, recognizing him as the founder of America’s Golden Age. Additionally, as our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, we should create a new federal holiday honoring the American Flag and all that it represents. By designating Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day as a federal holiday, we can ensure President Trump’s contributions to American greatness and the importance of the American Flag are forever enshrined into law.
Trump’s birthday which happens to fall on Flag Day becoming a national holiday did not sit well with many who blasted Tenney for the bill. A few of the “tame” responses can be viewed below:
This is surely a joke, right? ♀️♀️♀️

You represent my district. And THIS is the ‘legislation’ you’ve come up with to help people in my district? I’m glad I voted for your opponent. Given the chance, I will do so again. SHAME ON YOU!

How is that going to lower the price of groceries? Trump is not a god or emperor. He’s a public servant like you are. Stop licking his boots.

Others didn’t view Tenney’s bill as a boot-licking stunt, but rather as a tribute to a man who’s pulled off one of the greatest political comebacks of modern times, perhaps, of all time.
Thank you, Rep Claudia Tenney

Rep. Tenney’s bill to make Trump’s birthday a federal holiday is a bold move to honor the leader who shattered globalist norms and delivered real wins for America. Critics whining about “cults” just can’t handle the fact that Trump’s legacy dwarfs their failed establishment…
