NYPD officers viciously attacked on subway platform after asking 3 men to stop smoking

Two NYPD officers were attacked at a Bronx subway station on Monday after telling a group of three men to put out their cigarettes.

The men refused the officers’ request to extinguish their smokes and head to the street level opting instead to fight, according to the New York Daily News.

Kaream McClary, Izayiah Jessamy were arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, violation of local law, and trespass.

The police officers were treated for minor injuries at the scene, the newspaper reported.

The third suspect, seen below, managed to get away.

While the Democrat-run city claims crime is down — see lies, damn lies, and statistics, left-wing Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg said recently he felt fear when a family member takes the subway.

“I know the statistics that transit crime has gone down, but when one of my family members gets on the train, I get a knot in my stomach too,” he told FOX5 News. “I live here, I raise my family here, so we have a lot more work to do.”

This was not the only incident of an NYPD officer being attacked at a Bronx subway station this week.

A uniformed NYPD lieutenant was responding to a reported knife fight at a Bronx subway station when he was slashed with a boxcutter and suffered injuries that required eight stitches to his swollen left eye, according to ABC& New York.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
