Obama-produced Netflix thriller bashes white people, warns they can’t be trusted

A clip of a scene from a new Netflix disaster movie co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama that suggests white people are untrustworthy is making the rounds on social media as more evidence of Hollywood’s twisted agenda.

In an early scene from the thriller “Leave the World Behind” which is about the aftermath of a cyberattack when the power goes out, two black characters, G.H. Scott played by Mahershala Ali who is the owner of a vacation home where white people are staying, and actress Myha’la Herrold who plays his daughter Ruth, are having an intimate conversation in the darkness.

Before they fall asleep, Ruth says: “If the world falls apart, trust should not be doled out easily to anyone, especially white people,” a line that if the races were reversed would have ignited a firestorm of outrage against the streaming service.

Also starring in the apocalyptic flick are the “white people” who are vacationing at the property when the grid is taken down with Julia Roberts starring as Amanda Sandford, Ethan Hawke playing her husband Clay and Farrah Mackenzie, and Charlie Evans as their kids, Rose and Archie.

The scene is pure anti-white racist propaganda of the type that is pervasive in today’s movies, TV shows, commercials, music, and professional sporting events, particularly the NFL with its “END RACISM” slogan painted in endzones during nationally televised games despite racism against white people being openly encouraged by the most powerful institutions in America.

That the Obamas would be involved in the promotion of such divisive messaging is disappointing but not surprising considering the role that the nation’s 44th president and his fellow Democrats have played in setting race relations back half a century.

“The Obamas are two of the most influential people on the planet. Politics aside, you have to agree that their potential power to create good in the world is monumental,” wrote legendary conservative actor James Woods on X, formerly Twitter. “That’s why seeing that power used to promote racial hatred is deeply disappointing.”

“Is this for real?” Elon Musk, the owner of the X platform asked.

The scene drew a strong reaction from other X users who expressed disgust but not surprise that the Barack and Michelle Obama would be involved with a project that demonizes white people.

According to Sam Esmail, the film’s director, Mr. Obama had major feedback on the script which was based on the book which the former president was a big fan of.

He had a lot of notes about the characters and the empathy we would have for them,” Esmail told Vanity Fair. “I have to say he is a big movie lover, and he wasn’t just giving notes about things that were from his background. He was giving notes as a fan of the book, and he wanted to see a really good film.”
