As the fallout from the unprecedented leak of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court draft opinion continues to swell, the House Judiciary Committee convened on Wednesday to hear abortion rights testimony, and, not surprisingly, things got a little testy.
Case in point: Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) confronted one popular abortion provider from Alabama who was apparently more offended by the language used to describe her and her procedures than she was by the harsh realities of abortions when they are performed at 20 weeks.

Things got off to a rocky start when Roy addressed Yashica Robinson, called a “hero to women in her community and everywhere” for fighting for abortions in conservative Alabama, as “Ms.”
“Ms. Robinson, I’m gonna ask you a question,” Roy said. “When is the latest you have performed an abortion in terms of weeks of the unborn child?”
“Yes, my name is Dr. Robinson and I provide abortion care in Alabama,” she replied.
If Roy was impressed, he didn’t show it. Instead, he cut her off as she began to explain Alabama’s laws and repeated his question.
“What is the answer to the question,” he asked. “The latest that you have performed an abortion?”
“I’m going to answer your question,” she replied, adding that “unfortunately” Alabama has abortion restrictions.
Roy’s impatience was palpable.
“In other words, you’d like to do it later,” he retorted. “What is the latest you’ve performed an abortion?”
“So, since I always follow the law and I live in the state of Alabama, I provide abortion care up to 20 weeks gestational age,” she stated.
“Okay, so you’ve performed an abortion at 20 weeks,” Roy said.
Robinson confirmed with a, “Yes, sir.”
And that’s where it got interesting.
“The procedure for an abortion when we’re talking about at 20 weeks, as I understand it, is dilation and extraction,” Roy stated. “Have you performed abortions at that stage and, in doing so, have you had baby parts that you’ve had to discard or store in some capacity?”
Last year, Project Veritas investigated Planned Parenthood and revealed that the organization allegedly profits from the body parts of aborted fetuses.
It gets a lot worse than that, when you go down the rabbit hole

But it wasn’t the horror of such a thought that disturbed Robinson, it was the language used to describe it.
“One of the things that you all have done throughout this hearing is just use inflammatory language –” Robinson countered.
Roy was not about to let the good doctor deflect.
“It’s a simple question,” he stated. “Have you had human parts, baby parts — arms, legs — as a result of an abortion performed at the time you just acknowledged you performed an abortion up to 20 weeks?”
“I am a physician and a proud abortion provider,” Robinson responded. “There is nothing that you can say that makes it difficult for me to talk about the care I provide.”
