Oh, brother – Clooney gushes over Biden’s ‘selfless’ sacrifice, compares him to George Washington

Actor George Clooney waxed insincere in a media interview at the Venice Film Festival, telling reporters that President Biden dropping out of the presidential race was the “most selfless thing” since George Washington.

The timing of Biden getting the boot is interesting. Not long before Clooney wrote a New York Times guest essay called, “I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,” in July, his wife, Amal Clooney, threw her support behind the International Criminal Court (ICC) supporting arrest warrants for both Palestinian and Israeli leaders over the war with Hamas according to the Clooney Foundation for Justice. She was very unhappy with Biden’s lack of support on the issue. That was in May… coincidentally by July Biden was toast.

On Sunday, George Clooney laughably asserted that Biden bowing out of the 2024 presidential race was “the most selfless thing that anyone’s done since George Washington.”

“What should be remembered is the selfless act of someone who — you know, it’s very hard to let go of power. We know that. We’ve seen it all around the world,” Clooney added. “And for someone to say, ‘I think there’s a better way forward.’ All the credit goes to him … And all the rest of it will be long gone and forgotten.”

Clooney made his comments at the Venice Film Festival as he debuted his new film “Wolfs,” according to Fox News. Notably, he didn’t say a word about Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign during his remarks.

“I’m just very proud of where we are in the state of the world, which many people are surprised by, and I think we’re all very excited for the future,” the actor and social justice warrior stated.

Clooney was reportedly in on the ouster of Biden with former President Obama, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senator Chuck Schumer. His published hit piece aired in the New York Times right after Biden’s disastrous debate with former President Trump.

“It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate,” Clooney wrote at the time.

“Was he tired? Yes. A cold? Maybe. But our party leaders need to stop telling us that 51 million people didn’t see what we just saw. We’re all so terrified by the prospect of a second Trump term that we’ve opted to ignore every warning sign,” he charged. “This is about age. Nothing more. But also nothing that can be reversed. We are not going to win in November with this president.”

The aging actor was thrashed on social media:
