A supposed far-right activist is facing heat for spouting the sort of anti-family rhetoric usually only heard from people on the left.
Laura Loomer, a failed Florida congressional candidate, spouted the unusually anti-family rhetoric after being called out for attacking Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ wife, Casey DeSantis.
The drama started early Saturday morning when Loomer responded to a clip of Casey speaking at some event about the ruckus her kids have been causing at the Florida Governor’s Mansion.
In the clip, Casey described how her kids have been, as an example, getting slime stuck in the mansion’s rugs and drawing with crayons on the mansion’s wallpaper. Normal kids stories, basically.
In the clip, she also spoke about cleaning up the mess her children sometimes make.
Listen, and also take note of Loomer’s unhinged response:
WATCH:
Jill DeSantis laughs about how her 3 kids are destroying the historical Florida’s Governor mansion, destroying the wallpaper and the rooftop.
I’m sorry. But if the DeSantis’s can’t even control their own kids, how will they control the country?
This isn’t even funny. pic.twitter.com/LejuWft4hr

Responding to the clip, Loomer accused Casey’s children of “destroying the historical Florida’s Governor mansion.” Never mind what Casey had said about cleaning up her children’s mess.
“I’m sorry. But if the DeSantis’s can’t even control their own kids, how will they control the country? This isn’t even funny,” Loomer added in her tweet.
The tweet elicited some support from her fellow hardcore DeSantis haters but also plenty of criticism from folks who could relate with Casey.

There’s a good reason you don’t have kids

Get a sense of humor. The Mansion is surviving the DeSantis kids nicely. There was no damage.

Laura Loomer will probably always wonder why no one ever loved her enough to have children with her.

Laura – we have plenty to not like about DeSantis – we don’t need to go here. Turn off. Then we’re better than this.

To me, it sounds like a typical family story, and those that have small children would understand. I don’t know what your obsession is with Casey DeSantis, but it’s a real turn off for many of us Trump supporters. Keep that in mind and just stop.

Notice what one critic wrote: “Laura Loomer will probably always wonder why no one ever loved her enough to have children with her.”
This particular clapback caught Loomer’s attention and inspired a reply. Unfortunately, it was in the reply that she spouted her anti-family rhetoric.
“I could have kids anytime I wanted in my current life situation. I could also be married tomorrow if I woke up tomorrow and decided I wanted to be. You don’t know my life,” she wrote.
Fair enough thus far.
“I’m enjoying leaving a legacy and creating something of value that can be remembered by others someday instead of rushing into a marriage and pregnancy to live a mediocre life void of accomplishment only to be stuck raising kids who share the DNA of someone I will only grow to resent if I get divorced someday,” she then added.
“Nobody wants the baggage of being with someone who has baby daddy or baby mama drama. I’m taking my time and doing things the right way. People would be wise to do the same. Sorry you can’t relate,” she concluded.
Look:
I could have kids anytime I wanted in my current life situation. I could also be married tomorrow if I woke up tomorrow and decided I wanted to be.
You don’t know my life.
I’m enjoying leaving a legacy and creating something of value that can be remembered by others someday… https://t.co/DuHEbxsnv7

Critics once again responded with disappointment and disdain, with many chastising the supposed conservative activist for speaking the type of rhetoric you’d expect to hear from a raging leftist like Kathy Griffin.
Look:
This sounds like a message from Planned Parenthood.

This doesn’t really fit into the whole “Conservative Family Values” now does it?
— Mikel (@LaukMikel) July 8, 2023
This was not the way, Laura. Diminishing the value of children is not the way.

Can’t leave a legacy if you have no family to carry it, otherwise what you have achieved will eventually be forgotten. It’s family that keeps that knowledge and memories of what you did going into the future.

Young professionals think their work will save the world and deliver a lasting legacy, but the truth is no amount of work will achieve more change than raising a few good kids. My generation will realize this lesson too late it seems. The future is demographics
