Backlash is brewing against an Orlando Pride parade that was evidently led by a preadolescent “transgender girl.”
The Come Out With Pride parade, as it’s called, was held Saturday in Orlando, with Dempsey Jara, an 11-year-old biological boy in a dress, serving as the marshal.
“Being transgender is not about a choice. It’s about being true to myself. It’s about embracing who I am even when the world tries to tell me otherwise. It’s about standing tall in my identity even when it’s really hard,” Jara said to the Orlando Sentinel in defense of his presence at the parade.
Also in attendance was his proud mother, Jaime Jara, 45, who not surprisingly is a schoolteacher (a leftist one, obviously).
“She’s just always gravitated toward girl things, girls’ toys. We didn’t have any of that stuff at home. She has two older brothers. She’d say, ‘I’m a girl in my heart and my brain.’ She’s been on this journey since she was 5 and she’s living her best life,” his mother told the Sentinel.
Critics disagree:
So sad

So a boy. You people are sick. Child abuse.

This is horrific. The organizers of this need to be arrested.

Crazy. My eleven year old cannot decide what she wants for dinner. This eleven year old is making a lifelong decision about their gender.

I think it’s funny that the people who are the least true to themselves talk about how you have to be true to yourself. It’s not an 11-year-old trans girl. It’s an 11-year-old boy wearing a dress.

Jara’s family previously said they would leave the United States if Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were to win the 2024 presidential election. Why? Because Jara would no longer have access to puberty blockers.
“Soon Dempsey will start puberty, and her body will change into an adult male. To prevent that from happening, she needs puberty blockers. A medication which is not available in Florida anymore due to a Bill, Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis has signed into law,” Deutsche Welle reported in June.
But also, the family appears to think the governor is Hitler.
Asked about him becoming president, Jara’s mom said, “Yes he might. That terrifies me. It terrifies me. We have our passports updated, and we do have exit plans in place. Yes. If that happens, we’re going to have to leave the country, and I’ve never lived anywhere outside the United States. We’ve traveled, but I don’t know. I’m terrified.”
“Well, I mean just looking at what he’s done just in Florida, and it’s not just against trans people. It’s against everybody,” Zara’s father added.
“Immigrants. Black people,” Zara’s mother said.
“Anything that he doesn’t like, let’s just silence it,” Zara’s father said.
Listen:
FYI, the governor has NOT been talking about “immigrants” or “black people.” He’s been targeting illegal aliens and black supremacist literature. But clearly, the Jara’s are leftists, and so they believe every lie put out there about DeSantis.
Dovetailing back to the parade, it should come as no surprise that, besides featuring a little boy as its marshal, the Pride event also contained a whole heap of Democrat Party-approved leftism. In fact, a local Democrat even attended it.
Florida state Rep. Anna Eskamani, a rabid leftist, can be seen below in a revealing rainbow minidress leading a group of paradegoers, all of whom are touting pro-Eskamani swag:

There was even a “Medicare for All” table at the event.

The Orlando Pride parade is the first of its kind in the state since DeSantis signed a bill blocking children from attending drag shows and similar performances containing adult behavior/content.
The signing of the bill prompted massive backlash from leftists, leaving conservatives wondering why they were so upset over kids being denied access to sexual content.
Similar outrage erupted after DeSantis signed into law the Parental Rights in Education bill that granted parents more rights and also banned schools from teaching/addressing sex-related content with students in third grade or lower.
